The good old days when all consoles had at least one game packed in the box (at launch or otherwise).

Hilarious considering Nintendo's track record since Sony and Microsoft have entered the console business....too few and far between with great exclusives....even the AAA multi-platform titles on Nintendo going back to Gamecube have been subpar. But really what's he gonna say.

This announcement should have been at E3 as the shouts for the reversal in stance were just as loud then. Would have had a greater impact. But fairplay - better late than never.

It was looking like Micorsoft were digging their heels into these policies so I give them credit for changing their minds.

Had both systems (Xbox One and PS4) pre-ordered already and it's good to know I can still use my Game Access account for this console.

@Chai_Tea

Considering no pricing or anything has been announced....how is it different at this very moment? You seem to know. Not a single publisher has come out and proposed a "redistribution" fee. I know some games in this current generation charged $10 to play online on a used game that had it's online pass used (ie Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit).

What's the difference now my friend? Sony has essentially said the same thing in regards to re-selling games....leave it to the publishers. Guess what? If EA and/or Activision, for example, have a fee for a used game on Xbox One you can bet your @$$ there will be a similar fee on PS4.

I have both systems pre-ordered, own both Xbox 360 and PS3....love both. I don't really have a stake here. I don't buy used games either. I like getting games the day they come out so I really am not affected. It's just right now I feel nothing has changed and I truly believe that Microsoft has been doing a bad job of getting their phrasing right if anything.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if there was an actual fee and it was coming from Microsoft you would hear them say "we will be charging....". Not the case, atm.

The backlash against the Xbox One policy seems silly at this point. It's actually the same as with Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The difference being that if a publisher now wants to charge a fee they can (with or without an online pass). I just don't see many publishers charging fees knowing the backlash they'll get if their counterparts are not charging a fee.

If this is a means to combat piracy or something they should use that as the reason....there is no reason this system should not work offline.

I'm always connected so I really don't fall into a category of ppl this effects....but still.
