@comments123: I guess I am missing where you guys are getting cheap digital games. PSN will literally rape you on digital games. I don't like GS, but I get the same game used for a fraction of the digital price. Unless the PS store is having a sale, there are games that are years old still demanding 75% of the full price.

IW is complete garbage. MWR is OK, but we have all been there, done that. I think this is my last COD. They are going in the wrong direction for my taste. I'll let the kiddies play this trash.

@rogue81: I would be fine if, like a pc, I could say, swap out my video card or upgrade my ram etc. I'm not sure that is what Sony wants. They want you to buy an entirely upgraded console each time they make an improvement. That will fail if they do that.

@rogue81: While I get your point, I can assure you that this would be a terrible idea by Sony. If Microsoft is watching, they should let Sony dig their grave. To release a console, and then 2-3 years later, tell consumers that just spent upwards of $500 for a console, to now dump that for a PS4.5????? MS could destroy Sony again if they do this. The hardware has not improved much in 2 years, certainly not enough to warrant a replacement. Cell phone companies get away with this due to the carriers offsetting some the financial impact to the consumer. The changes in technology is very minimal to a specific device. Other than aesthetic changes, does your cell phone really work any better than it did 2-3 years ago? I mean seriously, other than a few changes (fingerprint technology, slightly better camera), how much better is a cell phone of today than that of 2013? Not much. I am a PS gamer, but no way would I buy a 4.5 unless they said ok we'll give you $250 credit towards a $399 system that I bought a year ago. If not, I am fine with what I have. I'm hoping this is just a bunch of media blather.

@Shantmaster_K Agreed. Although I think we are probably looking at futuristic. It's what the 12 year old's want, so they are catering to their base.
