@MegaPyroFlame I don't care how many wiis sold or how much money Nintendo made off of it. Nintendo may now be targeting the casual market, but that is not the market/demographic I am apart of...so to me, Nintendo has become irrelevant.
@WllDan7 you make a valid point here, even though I feel the mario brand is WAY overused, Mario's adventures have lead him from 2D to 3D platforming to various other spin-offs such as mario kart or smash bros or tennis, though I wish Nintendo would try some more new spin-offs...they seem to be playing things "safe" and have lost my dollar's vote.
If you take a look at the list of games they used, you'll note that move specific and kinect specific games qualified as "new IPs" ironically (and I love the PS3) the move was merely a rip off of the wii and NONE of those "IPs" will be have proper sequels unless there's a new sports championship. So the data this list is based on is bogus cause over half the games that qualified as "new IPs" in Gamespot's book wouldn't qualify as "new IPs" in most gamer's books.
@TruthTellers I couldn't agree more, I didn't even find collectors edition games like Arkham City or Skyrim's extra "crap" to be worth to fork over my extra hard earned dollars. It's so NOT worth it, regular editions are fine for me.
The real question is why are we psycho analyzing a fake video game character to see if they're psychologically sane or a demented nutcase? Anyone who psycho analyzes a video game character isn't all there in the head themselves. I got very little impression this article was meant to be taken jokingly but I will trust it is meant in good fun...peace out.
