This game nearly ended up at my house and my wallet being $60 emptier, but when I saw many negative reviews, I was just so disappointed and even a little heart-broken. I'm still going to pick this game up, but I'm going to wait for it to get a significant price reduction.
I think Sega should have chosen their developer more wisely. We all know Gearbox can make good games, but with Borderlands being their money-making franchise, Sega should have taken that into consideration since BL2 was on the horizon when Gearbox was "suppose" to be well into development of ACM.
I blame Sega on an executive level, but I also blame Gearbox on a developmental level. Gearbox NEVER should have let this happen, and I think this "should" (but probably won't) tarnish Gearbox's reputation a bit. However, many people are more likely to blame Sega just because Sega hasn't put their name on a blockbuster hit in a while, whereas Gearbox did just that a few months ago.
@DarthLod Hmmm, don't like multiplayer, eh? Either you are seriously anti-social (in which case, why would you post a social comment) or you just seriously suck at games and can't stand being ashamed of yourself everytime you've played multiplayer.
BTW: ME3 was co-op online, not competitive. So does this change your story? Or are you also going to try to convince us that you don't do Co-op? I call bull's hit if you claim you refused to play either Contra or Borderlands (best ever co-op games, IMO)
@MindwalkerX Whoa, get your facts straight bro. MS bought RARE because RARE made a promise they would make some outstanding games for a console that needed more outstanding exclusives. This promise was broken by RARE, not MS.
Besides, this was like over a decade ago. Your comment gives the sense like this was a close call just last night.
@Spartan_418 Totally love your idea. I have a soft spot in my heart for Atari just cuz they started this whole home-console gig. They used to be on top of the world, and now they are in serious financial trouble. I would love to see Atari get bailed out, but sadly I don't think anyone wants to. Also, Atari announced a while back that they are switching to making apps for the mobile market. Since they are probably already well into that transition, I doubt they would make any big changes so soon, and any potential buyers would be put off by the "already-in-process" transition.
