Gameplay is far more important than story, and Gears of War plays incredibly well.

you've got to be kidding me. how many times have you bounced from cover to cover while getting shot in the face when your real intention was to run?? the cover system is crap and so was its story. in fact Gears of War's story is honestly hilarious. let's put a bunch of meatheads in a game that explains next to nothing.

yeah, it may look good but it's the Ureal engine. if you use it on any console it will always look the same. UT3 used it, and it looked exactly like Gears. Guerilla games developed an entirely new engine from the ground up for KZ2 and it looks amazing. I'm pretty sure most people will agree.Oh and to those who call it "Blurzone 2," you guys are idiots. I'm testing the beta right now and it looks phenomenal. I'll admit that Gears is a good looking game and probably the best for the 360, but KZ2 will rise to the top as far as graphics are concerned. I guess it helps that it plays extremely well also. And just a reminder, KZ2 is in a pre-Alpha stage. It doesn't even launch until February.

As for killzone to be in pre alpha stage, hasnt the game been in development for 4 years? :S you make it seem like the game just started development.

I had more fun with uncharted. I had to force myself to beat it the 2nd time, the 1st and 2nd levels of mgs4 are really good after that the game goes down hill. I found it very overrated, I also found Gta4 really boring as well so it could just be me.lolkie_81

I also had a better experience with uncharted. this is only because the game doesnt slow down as dramatically as MGS4.

i wanna make something clear. im defininetely not bashing MGS4, it is a good game, but its certainly not perfect and i was really impressed in the technical aspect of the game, but i just was not blown away. maybe i expected too much

Ive read through almost every message on here and the results and interesting. seems fairly even with blownaway/best game this generation or let down with the former probably edging it. im not sure if theres been a game that blew me awayat the time (in bold to emphasize this if someone tries to be funny) but it would probably be:

Final Fantasy 7
Shenmue
even Final Fantasy Tactics which had an unbelieveably well written story proves that a game doesnt have to have good graphics or be technically outstanding to be great

I just bought a HDMI cable for my PS3, and I'm able to plug it into the PS3, but not my TV. It is a HDTV, but I cannot find a place to plug the cable in. Is there something else I need?Dnadolny

Blown away by what? it definitely has one of the best gfx on consoles this gen (just behind uncharted and gears imo) but there was probably about 4 hours gameplay in the whole thing which i was really disappointed with.
