No TC there is only 1 reason why the PC is not dead. RTS games own. Ignorant gamers continually nag about how the controls of the Wii are lame and blah blah blah. But the truth is whatever the genre, controls will always matter. With PC a mouse and keyboard are totally essential for precise RTS gaming.

Wii will soon take away fps controls for itself. The mouse will never feel like holding a gun. Wiimote will. AS for RTS games, Wii may take that away from PC's too as the wiimote is a pointing device.

as a PC gamer i'm not remotely worried about the state of PC gaming. I remember when PS1 was launched, that was the death of pc gaming. Same with PS2/xbox and again with 360/PS3. It's still here and going strong. PC still gets many exclusives and ports of great console titles. The only reason PC does lose a few exclusives is that noone pays devs to keep games on PC and only PC. This is what most consolites fail to realise. Devs don't choose to make console games exclusive because they just like the system, hell no, MS or Sony pay them money to so, or come to some publishing agreement. PC just doesn't have this.

Some devs have moaned about sales of games on PC, fact is these were poor games and PC gamers often have higher standards than casual console gamers. If a game is getting poor user reviews on forums etc, it will not sell. Remember, PC games sell on word of mouth and reviews. We don't have fancy big T.V adds brainwashing people into buying. If the community says a game is bad the word soon spreads and will heavily affect sales. UT3 sold poor because the community gave it a hard time. Stalker on the other hand, well, this was spoken of very highly within the PC community and as a result sold very well and is still selling now.

The pc market is very very different from the console market. Just look at xbox live, at this moment in time CoD4 is by far the most played game, many other games dont even get played online and it can be impossible at times to get a game. PC however is very different. I can pretty much load any game up from the last 3 years and get a game. The PC gamer base is spread over so many games not just 1 or 2. This also applies to sales.

PC gaming is not in trouble, nor is it dieing, people just use console standards to judge PC and it gives a false impression of the true state it is in. This will never change, some ignorant gamers/devs will just never see the light. I for one have stopped caring, the fact 2008 is going to be yet another great year for PC gaming proves all these people wrong.

AND spore will remain a pc exclusive. the ds is getting a spinoff , the wii version will be watered down, and expect the ps3/xbox360 to be worse than the wi.

Wow, Halo 3 sold more than 1 million on its first day alone.

And Burning Crusade beat Halo day 1 with 2.1 Million .... ( Halo 3 beat it for the week though ) ... now they are neck and neck.
