Ok tat2dchad... Who cares if the PS2 outsold the 360, there are alot of people not willing to fork over the money for a next gen console. My point is this as far as next gen goes... the PS3 is the loser on the block. Its not like I couldnt have bought a PS3 I just didnt see it a viable because I could have a better over all experience with the 360. reeco411 I never said Sony doesnt have a plan. The Marines have a saying that goes like this... A plan is just a list of things that wont happen. I realize consoles almost always go in the red when launched but the PS3 is the biggest loss to date. I am just saying that Sony over estimated the demand thats all. However tat2dchad it finally had to happen... we agree on something, NOOOOO! I agree nothing can kill Halo but Halo, its up to them to live up to the hype. I am pretty sure it will be better than GOW, though. Have you played the multiplayer on GOW? (not being sarcastic by the way) Its atrocious! It boiled down to nothing more than chainsaws and shotguns... Being able to dive 10 feet, weak assault rifles, and the fact that headshots do nothing make it well crappy. 4 on 4 is not so great, 8 on 8 should be the standard/minimum. How do beta testers miss this stuff or do you think the programmers just dont listen to them?

Well tat2dchad its more than ok for Sony to lose profits on the PS2 since its had such a long run, what I found amusing about it is that it lost the money on the PS3 launch, and profits are down cause of the PS3. Perhaps if you were clearer about how you felt about the 360 people wouldn’t be confused. Clearly I am not the only one who thinks you are giving the PS3 too much credit for what it is. I understand the download thing however. What plans does Sony have for the PS3? Are they adding an expresso machine, because then it might be worth the buy. I still am not seeing how I made your point?!

Well tat2dchad stick to tattooing, because you have no future in electronics review. I’ve been reading your posts… well trying, with all your horrible shorthand, punctuation, and grammatical errors it can be quite painful. I think you are just bitter honestly. It’s the feeling of embarrassment PS3 owners get when they have to admit they own one, that causes them to act out in an angry jealous rage. For some reason the laughter of 360 owners triggers an inherent primordial instinct causing all PS3 owners to fly into an offensive rage which temporarily detaches the brain from the mouth. Symptoms include caps lock, lack of capitalization skills, multiple exclamation marks per sentence and loss of all forms of reason and logic. It really doesn’t matter if you own both; you were still incompetent enough to buy a PS3. Your feeling that sting that every PS3 owner feels when they buy one and realize they just tossed Sony $600 for a Blu-ray player posing as a consul. Don’t get me wrong, Blu-ray is really pretty cool, but so was laser disc. By that I mean the format is not a guaranteed success yet, and could still go south. As for your posts about Sony not putting a new system out for another 10 years… well that’s because they will spend the next 10 years trying to dig the PS3 out of the hole/grave it’s in. In 10 years the PS3 will be out dated, so keep it if you want to. I might be going out on a limb assuming you casually read…however I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt. I assume you read the article about Sony being down 2 billion dollars, so I am also assuming you understand that you are wrong 2 billion times over. No matter what, “the proof is in the pudding” as you would say because the monetary statistics are not in your favor. I hope you realize they sold more PS2’s than PS3’s last year, roughly 3 times more. Obviously they are not very in touch with their market. They also sold more PS2’s than they did games for the PS3, that’s borderline shameful. You try to turn everything about the 360 into something negative, which shows the narrowness of your views. Your comment on downloadable content was just for lack of a better word purely ignorant. Downloadable content is there to keep games interesting. Long after Resistance is in your DVD rack collecting dust I will be downloading new guns, maps, characters, missions, and modes for the games I play. Are you too cheap to download anything from the market? Is your account even gold? Having played both systems I can admit some things about the PS3 are nice. For one the graphics on the PS3 are quite beautiful, but graphics fail in comparison to the importance of gameplay. The difference in graphics on a PS3 and a 360 isn’t enough to make people up and abandon a better set up for a small improvement in graphics, especially when that tiny improvement costs you an extra $200. There are in fact fewer companies willing to take the gamble of making games for the PS3 because of its general lack of success. Go under PS3 here on GameSpot and hit the All PS3 Games link… there is currently 289 games out/in development for the PS3 as of 5/22/07. Now do the same with the 360 and you will see that there are currently 467 games out/in development. That’s very close to more than 200 more titles. That’s close to doubling your chances of finding games you enjoy. So please stop posting, about how great a not so great system is. I say you are wrong and more importantly the market says you are wrong, period. As for you slicksteve22 next gen is more than graphical improvement, it’s an improvement in game experience and capabilities as well.
