Why turn games into things they aren't...? Player perspective is NOT the problem with most Silent Hill games. A compelling character and story are... I personally thought Downpour was pretty excellent, for example.
@24base Why? You can try to look up the most recent numbers on PS3 vs 360 sells on Japan. It's not pretty. The reception to the Xbox One in Japan was equally not pretty.
This is not about the "console war", it is the simple fact that the Xbox brand has little to no impact on Japan.
Not cool to the home turf. But it does make sense to wait on it a bit until there are actual products that appeal to the audience. I know I'm not in any particular hurry to get either console because the games of the launch window don't really look all that fantastic to me.
Having said that, as far as Japan is concerned: Sony could probably release it in 2016 and it would still destroy the Xbox One. Because Japan.
