@SpazldNinjaDude Mario games are actually really innovative a lot. The thing is, that innovation is integrated in the gameplay and the level design so it's not something you can really see unless you actually play them.
@jreezy18 If you want to play good exclusives, go and read the reviews. The editorials at Gamespot think if you have an XBOX 360 this was the best game you could play in it this year so it is indeed the XBOX 360 game of the year (at least according to Gamespot)
@phoenix5352 That's pretty much the point of these awards. GOTY awards are not meant to go and "cheer up" your favorite game. It's an opportunity to find awesome games that you might have missed.
@Volgin A port would have sufficed. The upscaled graphics of an old game will never be on par with a current gen game and in some cases, they even mess up the original art style of the game or introduce technical flaws.
@xDeadMarchx I'm sure that if practice is what they are looking for, it would be a better plan to launch a smaller game with their own ideas in a platform like Steam, PSN or XBLA than to launch a $40 game in blockbuster season. The thing is, even if this remake sells well, they won't survive unless they prove they can make great original games or even pull off an attractive franchise.
It makes me sad that developers waste their time making HD remakes (it doesn't matter if they are good or bad) instead of making new games. I guess the market is way too punishing to invest in something that is not a safe bet.
Stupid goverments. You can't place laws over something as global as the internet. The internet is way over the authority any country has. You can dent the internet, but it will only keep on growing.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I won't be able to watch Nintendo's conference live. I want to know about Project Cafe as quick as possible. At least I'll watch Sony's conference and see if the NGP delivers.
