@bthegamer: not really a leak, it's on their site. They are indeed remaking the first two games as one title. Rockstar finances it and it will be made in the Northlight engine. There was nothing about dates though, but as of last year the game was in the concept phase, and seeing how they just shipped AW2, the end of 2025 seems unlikely. But their development pipeline is pretty efficient, so who knows...

@nintendians: I would wait. 3080 is a great card, but 10GB may be a limiting factor down the line (weird decision for Nvidia, considering even their mobile chips have 16GB). From the leaks we know that 3080 Ultra/Ti with more memory is in the works (though delayed until the supply of existing models stabilizes), plus it will be easier to get by then.

@climhazard5: with streaming most of the energy consumption comes from the back-end. You still need to render the game on the server. Add to that encoding/decoding and overhead from just running the console and the overall footprint will be the same if not higher.

@nintendians: last time I checked my PC pulled 550W (with occasional spikes to around 750W) while playing Cyberpunk. 5950X + Strix 3090 OC, 128GB RAM with moderate overclock. Under synthetic load, it can spike higher, but I didn't encounter that in real-world scenarios. So overall it's not that bad compared to current-gen consoles considering the difference in hardware.

@videogameninja: I would assume that lack of 10/10 scores is due to the game not being 10/10, at the very least not in the state it was reviewed. Every review I've seen mentioned a ton of technical issues. You can't give the game a 10 if it doesn't work well at the promise that it will be fixed later.

@HiroArka: Yes, but will Day 1 patch be enough to fix the issues? It will definitely fix some of them, but I'm wondering how bad (from a technical standpoint) the game will be at launch.

@christianyonas: it depends. It's a looong game. If you're willing to play through it again then yes, definitely worth it. It's better in pretty much every way and there's enough new content to warrant a second release at full price. But again, it's a significant time investment and core experience is the same so...

I'm currently playing through it and enjoying it just as much as I did the first time. Just as with P3P and P4 Golden this approach works very well for the series.

@gzaface: good point, but I feel that "we" in this case means the vocal minority. Well developed characters and stories don't always sell well.
