I really doubt Fallout 76 has over a million players like they stated in a recent statement. Game can be good, just not right now. It's an early access release or more like beta. Pick up the game 6 months to a year from today.
@pcgameboy: Keep in mind Rockstar never disclosed the exact sales figure on PC but the last guesstimation based on GTAV's report earnings, that PC version sold over two million copies in 2015. I think Rockstar is making the money not on copies sold but through microtransactions with online play.
Porting to PC is not cheap plus you have to invest back into advertising and marketing to market on PC as well. My guess is that if the console versions already proven financially successful both copies sold and microtransactions with online play, doesn't make much sense to make a PC version.
It's too bad their games did not sale to expectations. They were fun, good. I just recently finished Batman: The Enemy Within and thought it as great. Just think this particular genre is too niche to be successful. In the beginning it was something kinda new so it did well but as time went on, if nothing is innovated, expect a decline. Even if you bring it new property licenses, it's still the same old formula from years ago.
Despite not doing the gig, he's still a millionaire. And all those residual checks from his popular movies in the 90s still cashing in. One of the few celebrities who learned not to squander their fortune.
