@torrne667 and if America took back the trillions of dollars of foreign aid and military support it has given over the years the whole freaking world would be a giant steaming pile of crap and you would be speaking Russian right now and calling me comrade.
@CaptainHerlock I have an 8 year old laptop that I play portal 2 and the old republic on medium settings. You only have to upgrade that often if you want to play all of the newest games on the absolute max settings all the time.
Very convenient of you to only count console games. And also forgetting Four Swords Adventures. Lets Take a look at the games in each series that have been released since the beginning of 2001.
Halo:
CE, 2,3,ODST,Wars,Reach,CE anniversary.
That's 6 original games in 12 years and one remake
Zelda:
Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, Ocarina 3D.
That's 4 new Console Games, 5 new portable games, and a remake, not to mention link to the past re-release on GBA with the four swords add on.
I think that a big problem is the average maturity level of gamers. Most are unwilling to accept anything that contradicts their own personal beliefs, even if it reflects a realistic view of the world. Atheists may not agree with persons of faith, but the fact is that people in real life do believe in God, and it is not unreasonable for games to depict that. When a character like Ashley Williams in Mass Effect becomes vilified and called a racist and a bigot and a religious zealot just because she mentions that she believes in a god, it shows the intolerance of many people playing games. Until people on both sides get over their own personal hangups it is unlikely that we will see any religious topics being seriously dealt with in games.
I have had Vista on my computer since I bought it, and I have loved every minute of it. I have 4GB of memory on my computer, but that was because I heard that vista's requirements were high. That didn't turn me off at all. Each MS OS has required more memory and faster processors. It's not MS's fault that people were too stupid to read the system requirements before buying the new OS.
