@killerspawn @xgraderx @phillkillv2 except that never happened and the reason they can put the policy in place is because verizon already had it in theirs. It was eventually upheld at the supreme court.
@soellnerjr Because they're allowing you to trade ownership of the game in your digital library as well as share your digital ibrary with 10 other xbox's. Which means they need to check you still should have rights. Such as you went to a friends house, traded it there at his x1, and your x1 was off at home. Without an online check your x1 would have no clue that you shouldn't have access.
The sharing your library works on the one active at at time which is why if you're playing a game your account doesn't own, but is on your console, checks every hour.
