so what? You want them to give a 9/10 to every game? What is the point of the scale of 10 then if you're just gonna give 9's to everything like 9GN?

Gue1

Where did i mention them giving games 9's, where did i mention ign? There is a huge difference between a 9 and a 4.5.

Again, this has nothing to do with me and my inability to properly research the game before purchases. Many people would pass up a game based solely on the review score and that's not right.

Since the past year gamespot has been giving some pretty harsh scores to games that seemingly don't deserve the hate?

Examples?

ZombiU- The metacritc score is a respectable 77 but gamespot gave it a 4.5 (the worst score of 70 professional reviews).

Resident evil 6-The metacritc score is 74 but gamespot again gave it a 4.5 (Which is again the worst of all professional reviews).

lugi's mansion- the metacritc is an 85 and gamespot gives it a 65 (the worst of all professional reviews, hopefully you start to see a trend).

http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/luigis-mansion-dark-moon/critic-reviews

legend of zelda skyward sword- an aggregate of 93 by over 80 reviews and gamespot gives it a 7.5 (not the worst but close).

This really frustrates me because gamespot writes the reviews for the masses. Their purpose is give readers an informed decision of the game they are reviewing in order to help them decide if they should purchase or rent the game or pass it up completely. It really seems like they are abusing their power in that regard.

Gamespot reviews are not solely an opinion that have no repercussion as several readers will not give a game a chance. Gamespot is the number two highest ranking website for all gaming websites so their reviews hold a lot of weight.

http://www.itweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54352:sony-shares-hit-30year-low&catid=69

Quotes from the article:

Sony shed more than 7% to hit a near 32-year low on Friday, a day after it posted a record annual loss of $5.7 billion and failed to convince investors that it has a sound strategy to turn around its loss-making TV business and boost smartphone sales.

The Walkman and PlayStation maker has lost its innovative edge, falling behind Apple and Samsung Electronics, and guidance for the current financial year has failed to impress.

"I didn't see anything positive in there," a trader at a US bank said. "There is really nothing in there that can justify buying the stock."

The facebook page reached 8k and now there is a crack on the wall that reveals some light. I'm pretty sure there is a correlation to the amount of likes and the wall breaking down.

[QUOTE="skrat_01"] The very fact that you're using an arbitrary social commodity as a metric gauge of popular interest, should spell out how absurd you're sounding. There was the poll movement and publicity, if the developers decided on a port it'll already be well under way; which all signs already point to. You're making a fuss out of absolutely nothing.skrat_01

Your analysis of my assumption is flattering... So did you press the like button?

Naturaly, no, and whelp If you think that's an analysis then you ain't seen nothing. I sincerely hope you didn't make multiple FB accounts with 10 minute emails to further your cause.

Go ahead buddy, show me a real analysis.

With that said, 7k is a pitiful amount of likes. We cannot leave it at 7k or we'll give of the impression that we are no longer interested in dark souls.

Again, From Software can reveal the announcement when ever they want. With that said, 7k is a pitiful amount of likes. We cannot leave it at 7k or we'll give of the impression that we are no longer interested in dark souls.

I'm pretty sure they took notice of the surge of likes on their main page since they posted the app.

-Unreal-

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. The more like the better, it's as simple as that.
