@BARRICADE_28: "you've never tried it so you simply can't understand." well, there's no arguing with that logic. i'll make a similar argument: wait 7 years and look at how we're still playing games on TV's, mobile devices, and monitors.
exactly. Who the hell wants to stand around for hours and flail your arms around like an idiot. It sounds exhausting. It also looks hot, like I would be sweaty from it. People have already lost interest in motion controls for god's sake. Kinect is just a glorified butler for the Xbox, unless your a child or a mother who wants to do a workout.
How do I walk around in the virtual world? walk into my living room walls? Nintendo Powerpad form a hundred years ago? Stomping in place is very virtual....
What about looking behind me? Do I have to turn my body around? Am I going to be restrained somehow so I dont knock things around in my living room or so I don't smack one of my loved ones with my arms and body flailing about?
You are still going to have to push buttons to navigate the world. How am I going to climb stuff, or jump down a cliff? by pressing buttons... How am I going to interact with objects? by pressing buttons....how am I going to look through my inventory? by pressing buttons....
There are so many limitations to this thing its amazing anyone even seriously considered that this is the future of gaming.
How in the world is that even virtual reality? Its is a virtual view at best. I can't wait to see this product go away. Its a tired idea and a flawed logic as far as enthusiast gaming goes.
Virtual headsets are a joke. The only way this would even be virtual reality is with a complete suit that can mimic every movement of your body. ...and who the hell is going to want to wear that?
