It's all about what your preference is. Make sure they are nicely padded if you will be wearing them for extended periods of time.

Also make sure they are good quality. I know people that say, "go down & buy a $15 pair at Walmart, etc". I say don't! If you play FPS, RPG or MMORP games you want the high quality sound. I have a Logitech headset/mic. It also has an inline volume control & a mute button for the mic. (nice for 1-2 yr olds screaming in the background lol) I paid about $80 for them & I love them. As was said before though, the closed ear kind do hurt after extended periods with them on. I still prefer them. And I like the over the top of head kind instead of behind the head/neck kind.

They are great quality & I can hear footsteps, gunshots, voices, etc very nicely & can distinquish the direction of them too. The mic is also great quality too & easy to configure in windows. It is pretty much just plug & play!

How are you going to buy the game in the store, open it, install it, play it, then return it? I have yet to find a store in the USA that takes opened PC games back & refunds your money.

I thought the game wasbeing releasedto stores on the 5th?

I would agree with getting a stove or grill. One little bit of advise though. Before you start having them cook big meals with a stove or grill, make sure you get their cooking skills up fairly good.

I made that mistake one time of letting the female cook a big meal & it went like this: FIRE!!!! Female on fire!!! No smoke alarm!!! = Burnt to a crisp dead female!!

I wasn't impressed at all with QW. I truely laugh now since the game & demo has come out because TONS of people were saying that QW would put an end to BF2142/BF2. Thats a big joke in my book. QW doesn't even come close to BF2142 even with the many problems it has. Of course my opinion may be a little bias since I can't stand FPS games which allow mindless run & gun bunny hopping gameplay. I prefer using strategy & cunning to beat the opponents.

As for SC, it is an awesome game. There are countless maps that can be DLed also. And the AI is working just fine. The demo didn't show much of the totally finished game. There are I think 8 different AI difficulty levels to choose from in the full game. Some of them are extremely difficult & VERY challenging. As a matter of fact me & a friend linked up in MP to take on ONE opponent on one of the hard settings & both of us got our butts handed to us.

I would have to say Heroes Of Annihilated Empires. That game sucked harder then Linda Lovelace!

Apparantly whoever said that Civ 4 was bad doesn't like playing turn based games. The Civ series + the original Alpha Centuri have always been great in my opinion.

C&C 3 was a true let down also. I own all the C&C games & I was totally disappointed with C&C TW.

Age of Empires 3 was another let down. :::sigh:::

When you say you Dled & installed the new vid drivers, does that mean you uninstalled the old ones first? Installing new drivers over old ones is NOT doing anything for you. You need to completely remove the old drivers before you install new ones.

I haven't played the full version of QW because in my opinion, it is quite lame. At least the gameplay in the demo was. I just thought I would say that removal of old drivers is needed first if you update drivers.

Try running it in 98SE mode. I have it installed on my comp & it runs fine. I can't remember if I had to do that or not. I know with Yuri's Revenge, I had to use the 98SE compatibility.

You need to DL the zip files to a folder. (not the one you have them in. LMAO) Just make a folder on your C drive & name it "YourNames Files" or anything. What I would do since you already have them DL'ed is move those zip files over toanother folder.

Then Double click on one of the zips & highlight the top folder & click "extract to". Then search for the folder you actually have them inthat picture. scenarios/mp. Make sure the mp folder is highlighted & click ok. That will extract all the files in that zip over to the mp folder in COH.

After you do ALL the zips (maps) that you have, there is one more step.Go into your COH folder & find the exe. Right click on that exe & choose send to/create desktop shortcut. Once its on your desktop, right click the shortcut & choose Properties. In the Target parameters line, add -Dev to the end of the line. (with a space before the -Dev)

The line should look something like this. "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -Dev Then click Apply! You are done. You need to make sure to use the desktop shortcut to boot up the game or the custom added maps won't appear!
