@vongroove @hikari-neko I grew up with games like GK as well - I was 15 when the first one came out. I also prefer BluRay over DVD - the grain is there because the original film had it.

@vongroove In the case of games, having them updated to modern resolutions is more than enough reason to do so. A lot of older games, GK included, are fixed resolution. You either need to run them in a tiny window or upscale them to modern resolutions - both of those options look terrible.
