MODS: Please lock this thread! It's become a trap for my fellow lemmings... they wander in here, post, and are instantly self-owned. It's too late for tools like HD and ranik but leave the rest of the legitimate Xbox fans with a little dignity, Ok?Xdrone

when the cows can show us 1080p in game, then maybe they can "own" someone...

in the meantime... just more hype...

cows..

it's seems silly to ask that question on a gaming site that is only visted by self-proclaimed "hardcore gamers"... who, besides smelling funny, also have nothing else worthy to spend their money on, will state they buy a console at any cost.....

it's the mass consumers who will make or break a console's life..

and so far, no console to date launched and lived over $400.... as mass consumers seem to have a problem spending a lot of money and what is still seen as a toy by many...

buh-bye ps3....

[QUOTE="AntiType"]By making it FREEdbzfreak

Free = you get what you pay for = crap

Free PC Online > X-Box LIVE

pc online is a lot easier to maintain, the resources are there... for console gaming, if you dont pay, it is crud... and you know it

there's NOTHING to "maintain" on xbox live for the gamer.....

pc gaming is not easier than xbox live noob..

unless you think you can join a game by pushing one button like you can in xbox live...:)

Free PC online > Paid Xbox online

PC gaming is so much easier and more cost effective.

Agreed

Like W.O.W?

Your point? MMORPGs are coming to console with fees too. So you'll be paying the monthly XBL fee plus the fee for maintaining the MMORPG servers. PC Gamers still win in the online realm.

we already covered this....

and xbox live kills it for feature sets...:)

i think is speaks volumes for the potential of xbox live that the only comparisons that can be made are from pc online players...

i guess it's safe to say the original topic has been proven; sony and nintendo won't be able to keep up...

i have to say i find it funny that hermits will drop hundreds per year for the latest vid cards and whine about $50 a year for xbox live....

systems wars is very entertaining....

[QUOTE="GunmetalXIII"][QUOTE="VoodooHak"][QUOTE="VILE_VIVI"][QUOTE="JeffGenocideX"]XBL $50a yr > WoW $14.99 a month.GunmetalXIII

WoW is a better experiance than any game XBL enabled

But we're not talking about WoW versus any one game on XBL. In terms of cost, we're talking Wow vs ALL games on XBL, since by being an XBL subscriber, you can play online with all of them... for less than what you pay for Wow.... a single game.

ALL games on Xbox Live cost more combined than WoW and a year of monthly fees. This is a silly comparison...

wtf...

you pay $50 for the service of xbox live.. all xbox live enabled games can be played for free...

unless you think it's $50 for halo2, another $50 crimson skies, another $50 for ghost recon, etc, etc, etc..

silly...

First of all, I have Xbox Live... so stop trying to lecture me.

And the reason why this is so dumb is because you're comparing a service to a game. Buying Xbox Live doesn't give you instant access to the entire library. You have to buy the game before you can play it online. Hence, when comparing the cost of WoW to the cost of having the entire library of Xbox Live available, you also have to factor in game cost.

Make sense now?

paying for XBL is buying 1 of your games a year. Also you still have to pay for PC games. Online gaming for anything console or Personal Computer is NOT FREE.

Thanks for enlightening me.

Let me just say this: Playing online games on Xbox Live (this gen or next) will require you to pay in some way. Playing online games on PC doesn't require you to pay for anything except the game itself.

When comparing cost of online play, PC gamers win. It's just a fact.

online playing with some pc titles requires fees...negating your statement about pc doesn't require you to pay for anything except the game itself....

The issue is WoW vs. The Xbox Live library, not PC online vs. XBL which is another argument entirely. You can't enjoy the Xbox Live library without paying for it. :|

no...the issue is pc online gaming is not 100% free as stated earlier... WoW is just proof.....
