Hardly worth the difference. I stopped dumping money in my PC at the second generation of XBOX games. For the price of a good gaming PC I can have a PS3, 360 and Wii, plus I put my home theater to use. Hmm.. let me think... what's a better deal??? Can you guys really see any difference between PC and 360 at high? I think the PC simply is a little brighter.
For me, 360 for sure... but I'm playing over HDMI on a 65" Mitsubishi 1080p and some serious 5.1 Hi-Fi. Hard to compare really since my PC only has a 24" monitor and mediocre surround sound.
All 3 next gen systems can't measure up with even a mid-level 2 year old Dell XPS. The clock speeds pitched for the CPU aren't what they are really running at. Most developers will only take advantage of one of those cores, becuase it gets crazy expensive to think about anything else when you have all this exotic archetecture around now. Theoretically, the next gen systems could be great, but we wont see it except for one or two games deep into this generation's lifecycle.
