Final Fantasy X and/or X-2. They made the game look so good, and only showed cinematics, not gameplay. So when I saw the commercials, I thought that this was going to be an amazing game. But, when i played it, I found out how linear Square-Enix was getting, and how much they didn't care about gameplay anymore. X-2 makes the bottom of the barrel for its silly 'My Little Princess dress-up' idea that just added insult to injury.
