Most overrated game?

Ya know, the ones where you just don't understand what all the hype is about. Critic and fan feedback is so strong you just run out and buy it and your like "this is it?"

I went through that for the original Gears of War. Also Halo 3 seemed like it should have been better, at least the campaign portion.

I try not to look for hype. I know those that love star wars and watch a new star wars movie. Then the person come back not happy with it and say "I was not what I was expecting." The tip I give to anyone to enjoy something expect little from it.

But I would say GTA4. I know that I will get some answering that it was great and so real. But I found the mission easier than driving in the city. I was hoping for more complex and challenging missions.

MGS4, after all the hype I actually started to get a bit jealous that it was ps3 exclusive.

Then I played it. :lol:

GOW2 and Farcry 2...both terrible

For me, it has to be Assasin's Creed. It is so repetitive through its fight scenes and the horse back riding is HORRIBLE.

Yeah i research them a lot before buying. I don't care about what reviews say i just use my own judgement and that's worked out perfectly so far. I normally buy games just expecting them to worth their cost.

The first Gears for me. I know the games simplicity is why everyone loves it, but to me, it just makes it boring. What makes Halo and CoD fun to me, is the fact that people use a wide variety of weapons and therefore, a variety of tactics. Gears has none of that. And don't get me started on pressing the A button for eveything.DZBricktop

This thread just seems like a way for you to bash 2 games that had mass mainstream appeal that you didn't like. Your loss.Trinexxx
