How do you get a Death Star that's been utterly annihilated as seen in film 3 of the original trilogy, Return of the Jedi and plonk it in the ocean?

Like it went up in a giant ball of flames, there was nothing left. But Abrams wants it as a set location so it's what-un vaporized?
