The design is very very Souls-esque. It's not as difficult but I'm finding it much more playable. There's times in the Souls games where it moves past frustrating or difficult into just complete and utter bullshit that ruins the experience. I only expected to play it for like an hour, as I've gotten older I prefer more casual games since I never have time to play more than an hour or two on Sundays. My friend and I did co-op for like 6 hours straight yesterday and easily could've kept playing if I didn't have to go home, I haven't gotten this sucked into a game since Guild Wars 2 when it first came out. The skill tree is fantastic and the boss fights are *incredible.* There's like 30 or so bosses and the few I've gotten through so far are all pretty unique. The leveling up is satisfying because it happens at a pretty regular rate and feel substantial enough, and the skill tree is cool. I'm really enjoying their design choices, and the levels are great. The game has crashed once so far, and people are putting out a lot of bug reports that the devs have acknowledged, so expect that.

The one complaint I have is that non-spellcasters don't have any abilities. The skill tree is cool but it really could've benefited from adding abilities for the physical classes. For example, assassins could have a skill that allows them to stealth for a few seconds, or berzerkers could have a skill that makes them rush forward, I don't know. It would really add a lot of variety to the game that only spellcasters have through spells and incantations.

Oh my god thank you so much. I knew it was related to a problem with frame skipping or frame buffering, and the game was horribly ported so if the graphics stutter then the audio stutters too (which for me is a much bigger annoyance)
