@leimonides It is a series that rely HEAVILY on his plot, so I suggest you to play it in the right order (besides on PC you can import your previous savegame with all the related choice you made). Bear in mind that the first one is the most dated and different of the trilogy as for gameplay, since it's based on the engine of Neverwinter Nights (though it's hard to believe when you look at how good it is), it's still real time combat but it feel different and had a interesting albeit a little flawed combo system which was removed from the second game in favor of a simpler but better combat system (also the series it's known for being rather difficult, not on Dark Souls level, but still quite unforgiving if you play reckless). That said I definetely suggest you to play the first 2 games. :)
@amdreallyfast the big problem with CastAR is that they are aiming too much on games and even trying to be a VR headset (as an optional feature). The ideal target for CastAR is 3D modeling in my opinion (much like the zSpace but better and WAY less expensive).
I think the Tactical Haptic Reactive Grip is the only one that is making the step in the right direction. While all the other are undoubtely good and interesting, most of them doesn't seem to have a real scope or they are aiming for the wrong audience, like the OMNI which I think it's more suited for gym/arcade and the military and it's marketed to the general consumer in the wrong way (they should put the emphasis on the fitness part plus game, not the other way around to appeal to everyone). The Digits might be interesting but it has the same main flaw as the Kinect, it lacks some tactile and force feedback, and we tend to forget how important for us is to be able to touch and feel the thing that are around us. My idea for what they should aim for is exactly that, a controller that is able to provide tactile and force feedback to our hands and finger, because virtual reality is awesome, but it's still a sort of ghost world where we can hardly interact with anything. Anyway luckily there are interesting technology that combined together could bring the tactile feedback to life. :)
You see? Videos like this are the main reason why I wish I could still download them! This is both a very good video and a piece of Gamespot history and I'd love to keep a a record of it.
That said, the new site looks amazingly good and even if I already feel a bit of nostalgia, I'm really looking forward to discover every single major and minor new feature! :D
