the first 60GB model is backwards compatible because it actually has the PS2 engine in it and is compatible with most all PS2 and some PS1 games. The first 80GB model has a software emulator in it like the xbox 360 does with backwards compatability with the original xbox games but the number of games that will work is less than the 60GB model. from there the 40GB model is not backwards compatible but I do not know about the new 160GB model uncharted package you might want to check playstation.com on that one.
For me the screen is very far from high def and I have a Sony Bravia 1080p HDTV. The game was very boring in my opinion and was more like a medic helping to save all of the guys fighting. I am going to cancel my pre-order for this game and wait and see if the reviews and the comments from you guys are positive for the real game because right now I am so disappointed. I liked the first Resistance but this game so far on the multiplayer part is a big let down but we will see later if it is actually worth the $60.
So those of you who have a PS3 and Xbox 360 which system are you getting Fallout 3 for? Also is the Pip Boy 3000 in the Amazon exclusive Survival Edition just a clock or is it an alarm clock and clock?
Fallout 3. I really like things to do with radiation and the 5os era. I also think that the explosive graphics will be alot of fun and if u want a multiplayer game for the xbox 360 then I would go with Gears of War 2 and for the PS3 I would go with Resistance 2 or Little Big Planet.
Horrible decision man. The PS3 is just hitting its stride with games like Resistance Fall of Man 2 and Killzone 2, Motorstorm 2 and still MGS4 if you havent played that. Then the best racing game of all time will be coming out and of course that game will be Gran Tourismo 5.
Buy it in mid september and you will really have some good games to buy when it comes out. Like Fallout 3, resistance 2 and motorstorm pacific rift and thats just naming a few.
Gears had its shortcomings but over all it pioneered the way in many different ways and also had some of the best graphics on any console when it was released.
