As a huge fan of original, I bought a PS4 especially for this. (so the game ended up essentially costing me £300)
My thoughts will echo what many others have said. Could potentially have been an absolute masterpiece. Graphics, music, gameplay so well done and made me gurlge in excitement.
Some of the "sub missions" were a bit disappointing, when you spent hours to complete them for some small, non essential prize. But they were optional and i guess padded the game out.
Totally lost me at the end. Over-fantastical and not true to the original. Way too much too early. Looks like the developers were trying to make some kind of climax ending to the midgar section to give the consumer their £49.99 worth, but essentially ended up having a disheartening effect as it was all too much for this stage in the game.
