I'm going to say Condemned 2 Bloodshot is a game you want. It doesn't get much more family friendly than that.

[QUOTE="raven_squad"][QUOTE="rawr_xd"]

My favorite genre is a tie between FPS and Action/Adventure

My least favorite genre is definitely strategy. I think strategy games are boring and shallow.

Wait, wait... I can understand thinking strategy games are boring. Not everyone has the patience or attention spans, but shallow? Strategy games are anything but shallow...

How are they not? What makes a strategy game have so much depth? Answer that.

Well, whether or not there is 'depth,' there is definitely a level of 'complexity' when controlling so many small things on one large map.

I suppose the 'depth' comes from how the designers created the game to implement the gameplay and all that, or better put that there is a high level of complexity for the player to engage in, for RTS, the quantity of what you can do really does add up, strategy games are about doing A LOT of little things here and there, so the more there is, the 'deeper' or at least more 'complex' it is, I suppose. There are some good strategy games, some people like them, others don't, matter of taste.

I suppose some of the depth comes from how the player chooses to utilize the scarce economic resources they gather and the people that the player controls. Some decisions the player makes are good, some are not.

I don't know, I tried.

Do you ever rest your left hand on the keyboard to type, but instead of being in keyboard position, it hovers over W A S and D?

Just happened to me.

Why do they make it seem like switching consoles is more drastic than filing a lawsuit?

Little Big Planet sucks. That game is horribly overrated.

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is rated E 10+, so I think the kids would love to play that, and it is good (from what I've heard, haven't actually played it, reviews say so though)

Younger kids also like racing games, so maybe something like that.

I'm in a minority since I'm one of the few Playstation fans who doesn't like God of War. The games never looked appealing to me.

I'll list it in order from most favorite all the way down to least favorite.

-Hack n Slash (fast paced, Ninja Gaiden)
-some sports (hockey/soccer)
-Real Time Strategy
-First person shooters
-some platformers

...

...

-RPGs (don't like experience points based games, there are exceptions though)
-Third Person Shooters (Resident Evil 4)
-Animal Trainer games (pokemon)
-fighting games (pointless, could get the action other ways)
-text-based adventures
-bad games

Other genres I dislike include minigame collection games, games that test your trivia knowledge, or playing cards, or intelligence test games, seriously have better things to do.

Also Design my house games, paint my pony, stuff like that.

I mentioned RPGs, I had a bad experience with a part in a certain RPG simply because I wasn't high enough levelled and I thought "I can't get past this part strictly because of my level?" and it turned me off from the genre as a whole, because I felt I should be able to get past it because my skill was good enough and I didn't think 'grinding' was adequete compensation, although I do like JRPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, and I never cared for WRPGs, Oblivion, Moorowind, KOTOR, found it all boring.

B-3 is what I call it. Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard. Yuck.

Oh, and as far as rhythm games go, Guitar Hero was amazing about 4 or 5 years ago, but due to all the milkage, now it's just horrible.
