I've been wondering if Microsoft is going to reconsider it's controversial "24 hr" and used game policies, but reading this response makes me think that they're going to stick to their guns. Too bad, it looks like it's going to lose a lot of fans for them in spite of some great looking games they showed off at their conference.

I was on reddit earlier and saw someone post "XboxDone." Use whatever sports analogy you like Microsoft, if you don't pay attention to the backlash from the people who buy your games and take it seriously, this might be the reality for your new console.

I've got a simple, 2-word suggestion as to how Sony could sell more Vitas: Monster Hunter.

Seriously, I know it's not huge in the states like it is in Japan, but if they had launched the Vita with a nice, new Monster Hunter title, does anyone doubt they would have sold a LOT more hardware? I own a PS3, I love it, but I have no current plans to buy a Vita. However, a great Monster Hunter game that I could play online on a Vita could change that. Yeah, I've seen the trailer for MH4 on the 3DS, but frankly, it doesn't look that great to me, and I've already got MH Tri on the Wii, so why bother?

When I first heard about MK vs. DC, I thought it was a joke. When I learned it was really happening, I wished that it WAS a joke, because it seemed like a horrible idea. The ultra-violent world of Mortal Kombat just wasn't a place I wanted to see my favorite DC heroes.

However, after owning & playing the game for a short time, I have to admit I was really impressed with how well Boon and his team did, especially with the DC characters. The Joker is awesome in that game, and I love that many of the chars seem to be based on Alex Ross' art. I also liked that it was a "T" rated game, and that I could turn off the blood.

So, seeing that there's a new game by the same people is actually really exciting to me! With the previous game, I always found myself wishing that they'd just made a DC game and not bothered to mix it with MK, so I love that (apparently) they're going for all DC chars this time. Assuming that this game will have a T rating, and not be bloody (or at least have the option to turn off blood), I'm pretty much already sold on it.

Sorry @Zevvion, I ran out of characters, just had one more point: The thing that interests me about homosexuals, is that unlike other groups of people who indulge in sexual practices that are generally considered to be deviant (adultery, incest), homosexuals have had a lot of success in convincing people that their sexual practices are not a choice, but a genetically built-in trait, similar to race. I respectfully disagree with this idea. It is not a scientifically proven fact by any means. I don't have an issue with the idea that some people might have genetic factors that give them a higher propensity for homosexual behavior, but I'm sure the same could be said for a variety of behaviors, including violent behavior. Does the fact that you FEEL something mean that it's OK to do it? Does the fact that you FEEL something mean that you have no choice but to act on it? Of course not. If that were the case, I would be a murderer, because there have been times I really felt like shooting someone :)

@Zevvion, thanks for posting a legitimate and respectful question about why I'm opposed to homosexuality. My primary reasons are religious. My church teaches that Intimacy between a married man and woman is ordained of God, and a sacred, special thing. It teaches that any deviation from this (including not only homosexuality, but adultery, incest, etc.) is unacceptable to God. I believe God sets the standard for what is right, and what is wrong, regardless of what is popular among mankind at the time. I would suggest (in order to better understand where someone like myself is coming from on this subject) that you take a look at human sexuality in the broader sense, and ask yourself, "do I really believe that there should be no limits when it comes to sex?" If you think about it enough, and you're honest with yourself, most people are going to conclude that there should be limits, and it's OK for a society to pass laws accordingly. Should people be allowed to cheat on their spouses with no legal consequences? Should people be able to practice incest with no legal consequences? Should pedophiles be allowed to molest children with no legal consequences? Of course not. Civilization has, and always should, consider some sexual practices to be deviant.

Look, I'll be honest, I've never played a Mass Effect game, (although I tried the ME2 demo, and it was fun), and one of my reasons is because of the homosexuality. I'm not going to defend idiots online who use offensive language against homosexuals, call them f****ts, etc., because that's obviously wrong and hurtful. I don't hate people who consider themselves gay and no one should hate them for that. However, I have every right to view homosexuality itself as offensive, and I do. I view it in the same category as other practices that I consider to be sexually deviant, such as adultery or incest. And I'm not alone in this, many other people in our country feel the same way. What bothers me, is that I think many people will view those such as myself who do not look favorably on homosexuality as prejudiced bigots. I don't think that's fair. Anyone who's ever had children knows that it's possible to be saddened/disappointed by someone's behavior, but still love them & respect them for the other great things they're doing in their lives. So, I'm going to turn my back on video games and other entertainment that promote homosexuality as a valid sexual practice, because I am fundamentally morally opposed to it. However, I can still love & respect homosexuals as my brothers & sisters, and have the decency to treat them with tolerance and consideration online, and offline, in spite of our differences.
