@jasongm: Agreed! Would love to see a good-looking PS4 Monster Hunter game. I started playing MH on the original Wii. I own a PSP, my son owns a 2DS, and for the life of me, I don't understand how people enjoy playing those games on handhelds. Obviously that's where Capcom has sold the most copies, I get that, but the game seems so much better on a console with more camera control.
If Capcom keeps putting MH on handhelds, I'll just keep playing Toukiden on PS4. Toukiden Kiwami is really good, and I was able to download the demo for Toukiden 2 which is also good.
The over-sexualization of some of the chars is the main reason I'm probably not buying the game at launch. If Capcom adds some less sexualized costume options for the chars, I will buy for sure. Would also be awesome if they added the ability to set character's default costume, so that when I'm playing around wife & kids I won't have to worry about more revealing costumes showing up in game.
And if you're someone who likes the revealing outfits, there still in the game for you. Win-win.
The original Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 is one of the best SRPGs I've ever played, really hoping both of these PS4 games come to the west, or at least include English subtitles/menu options if I have to import.
Very disappointed to hear about the M rating for Arkham Knight. I loved Arkham City, but even that was too dark and gritty for my taste. You can make a dark, brooding Batman game that's more family friendly, you don't have to drag it into the gutter. Just look at the excellent 90s animated Batman series for reference.
I was actually waiting for this game to come out as a primary reason to buy a PS4. If they stay with the M rating, I probably won't be buying the game at all, unfortunately. Looks like an incredibly cool game, too bad the devs are playing the "artistic integrity" card to justify M-rated content that most likely isn't necessary in the game play or story.
@Sam D. Rella Glad to see someone with something positive to say about SF X Tekken. Sure, Capcom made some bad decisions with the DLC (and bad box art Mega Man), but other than that it's a really great game. I love SF and Tekken, so crossing them over is a dream come true for me. And I love that Capcom implemented co-op team play in the game. That was honestly one of my favorite things about the original Tekken Tag, which my wife and I had a lot of fun playing on my PS2.
I've been looking forward to this game ever since it was first announced, but I'm nervous about the speculation that it will only be released on next-gen systems (PS4, Xbone). I can understand why that might be attractive to Namco, but as a gamer who has invested a lot of money in a fight stick & games for my current consoles, I'm not ready to go out and invest in a brand-new console & fight stick yet. I really hope that Namco releases this game on current-gen consoles (including the Wii U) as well as the PS4 & Xbone. I'm sure they'd sell a lot more copies of the game if they did that.
