Wouldnt be surprised if the majority of the audience at the panel were EA employees with scripted questions.

More info:

An official press release went out today announcing how we arere-prioritizing the Mass Effect 3 post release content schedule to provide a more fleshed out experience for our fans. For many of you the "Extended Cut" will help answer some questions and give closure to this chapter of the Mass Effect story. Oh and it's at no cost to you – the fan.

Here is a mini FAQ to help you understand what the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is andisn't:

What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?

  • For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard's journey.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?

  • No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?

  • BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?

  • Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.

Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?

  • Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard's story.

So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding. Summer is coming…

Anyone else thinks Bioware made the ending the way it is for a Mass Effect MMO?

It would be difficult for your choices to matter in an MMO from previous SP-oriented games. So they just used the "lets start from a clean slate" option and destroyed everyone at the end of ME3 so everyone would be at an equal footing.

Oh and to avoid another Raven-KOTOR situation with Shepard.

[QUOTE="gamedude00"]

[QUOTE="dreman999"] Like your ignoring the question of how Shepard is breathing in a void.:P

dreman999

Simple, its a plot hole.

On the citadel...Has Shep ever even been in an area open to space?

No I dont think so, thats why its a freaking plot hole.

Tell me, why havent the Reapers attacked the Citadel from the start of ME3? They couldve stopped all mass relays from operating. What was the point of Sovereign's attack on the Citadel in ME1? OH I GUESS THEY WERE INDOCTRINATED. LETS JUST USE INDOCTRINATION AS AN SCAPEGOAT FOR EVERY PLOT HOLE AND PROBLEM IN MASS EFFECT.

Just face it, the indoctrination theory was made just to convince yourselves that bioware didnt f*** up so badly.

[QUOTE="dreman999"]

These are not facts?

fact 1. People are indoctrinated by being near reaper tech.
fact 2. People that at are under the process of indoctrination here whispers.
fact 3.Shepard is near alot of reaper tech through out ME1 and ME2.
fact 4. Sheperd is hit by an indoctrination field int the arrival dlc, in which he see's visions and hears voices....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5vKMfh6gBk
fact 5.Indoctrination does not just go away...http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Rana_Thanoptis

'If Rana survived Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, she will appear in an ANN Report on indoctrination. She has apparently murdered several top asari officials and then committed suicide. While in custody, Thanoptis reported "voices" in her head (a typical symptom of indoctrination) to investigators."

Fact 6. The reapers can manipulate dreams...http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ldIJFRvDUp4#t=690s

Fact 7.You hear whispers in your dreams....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIKewKW9bb0&feature=related .......

.....

Because this is what I'm using in my argument. To say these are not fact is to say they did not happen in the game.

dreman999

So....You're going to completely ignore the pics I posted and start over? Figures...

Like your ignoring the question of how Shepard is breathing in a void.:P

Simple, its a plot hole.

I don't really mind Bioware using the indoctrinated theory as a free DLC ending. However, saying Bioware PLANNED to have Shepard indoctrinated right from the start is pretty damn ridiculous.

dreman999

Not really. You did refer to a final hour app that stated the the original reveal of Shepard being indoctrinated was going to be a boss fight. There way too many coincidences. With as much as they are, it hard to say that they didn't plan this.

I didn't see this mentioned in the app, unless I completely missed it :|

[QUOTE="dreman999"] Did you even read the recent statement from bioware. Also, you looking at this if bioware didn't plan to use indoctrination in the plot. Maybe you should consider it was planned.dreman999

Bioware never intended to have Shepard indoctrinated, as proven in the Final Hours app.

No, I just says the gameplay elements of Shep being indoctrinated was cut. Not the story elements. It was the thing that would show that Shep was indoctrinated. Think about it. In the final hour app, it stats they were working on the ending since November...Do you think they would cut every story element hinting to Shep's indoctrination out of the game..That was 90% done...4 months before release?

The leaked scripts were out by november yet there was no mention of Shepard being indoctrinated by the end of the game.
