@freeryu: man I think Microsoft whole thing is not sales for PC. It's more all about getting activity in their store, even if that activity is only Xbox players that happen to have PC. I saw on reddit that GoW4 devs are working on getting the pc players with the Xbox players for multiplayer cause there isn't enough users on Microsoft store. that's what I heard at lease. I doubt sony will have any better luck with that streaming service either.
ugh pc is too crowded. too many uninvited guess at the dinner table. comfortable with steam/gog, meh with origin, and give no f@#ks about GFWL 2.0 and this posnow
Well, it's the bad Apple's that spoil it for the good ones. Hopefully, valve charges a low to medium fee. $200-450 the most cause there are some really good indie games.
Second option is IF the game turns out to be a high price development game cancel the high entry price and tell the indie developers that don't have the money " hey, we'll back you and spilt the profits 60/40."
@gameplayuk: yeah, I look at that too. Idk though. Remember, Xbox was lacking in sales but has picked up tremendously, even beat ps4 couple times. Surely enough to cover 2.5 mill and I even pointed out Sony uncharted 4. I know, can't compare racing to shooter but FH3 isn't a lightweight you know? I mean it's a freaking first party franchise. I'm not saying nobody didn't buy. I'm just saying the numbers small if anybody from PC side did buy.
@pspearman: that's not the point. The point is you opened your first party title to PC in hopes of garnishing more sales but the sales are equivalent to regular sales on just xbox. Put it this way. You have three group of ppl the console players, PC players, and hybrids. Forza releases on Xbox alone and sales 2.5 mill
That number includes hybrid players and just Xbox players. Now you release it for PC.
The hybrids might play on PC while console player still choose to be on console. You've created activity on windows store not sales(play anywhere) that still leaves you with just PC that don't have consoles....where are those sales?
Steam probably can pull in 250k or more in sales within a week that's just based off the fact that you have ppl that don't buy first week cause games might have troubleshooting issues.sales should have Been 3mill.
