The music from 0:10 to 0:30 was so awesome...

It reminded me of Metroid Prime

Fuzzy, when are we gonna see (hear) more about the game's soundtrack? :o

IronBass

for once, i can 100% say it looks awesome fuzzyJandurin
:D This was the feature I was personally most excited for when I first heard about it, great to see lots of other folks having the same reaction! I think the first thing I'm going to do in Forge World is get a jetpack, set it to unlimited boost, and just fly around the map on a sight-seeing tour. Then maybe I'll try building a castle in the sky. :) What about you guys?

That is all, but of course you'll get more points for meeting him in person.

FireEmblem_Man

Haha, that's awesome.

Btw, I apologize to everyone who dozed off after reading my lame story. I just figured if there's one story from E3 I should share, that's the one.

Anyone else have any fun/interesting stories about run-ins with famous game developers or other celebrities?

...outside the Galen Center where the Project Natal Cirque de Soileil event was being held. He was in line to attend the show, and I spotted him out of the corner of my eye. He was about a dozen meters away, but my stomach tightened up and I started mildly hyperventilating. I pointed him out to my colleague, but tried to act discreet and not stare. But then he started looking at me with a strange expression, so I managed to raise my hand in the air and eek out, "Mr. Kojima." Little did I know that my colleague had started waving frantically at him (even though she's not an MGS fan), but she was standing behind me so I thought he was looking at ME. Anyways, it was quite awkward, but after the incident I muttered under my breath, "I can die happy now."

And that's the story of my most memorable E3 moment.

...and feel a bit giddy :D Not sure what I'll be doing yet, but if you're coming to the show too you'll probably find me floating around the Xbox booth.

I remember two years ago, before I started working in the industry, E3 was like my Christmas. Everybody else was excited for Santa Claus, but the one day every year I looked forward to most was the day that the big guns -- Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo -- would reveal their lineup of powerhouse blockbusters that would sometimes leave my jaw hanging on the floor.

That moment when Half-Life 2 was unveiled to the world, or when Miyamoto stepped out onto the stage after showing the Zelda: TP trailer, or when the CGI Killzone 2 trailer dropped -- those were indelible moments that will be forever etched into my memory.

Last year, E3 wasn't much fun because I had to man the fort at home base, but this year I'll be lucky enough to visit the videogame Mecca of the world. It will probably be an insane week, and by the end of it I'm sure exhaustion will have drained much of my enthusiasm, but for now I'm still stoked that I'll finally be able to see it all for myself. It's a prospect I wouldn't have imagined would be possible two years ago.

Here's to hoping this year's show will be a legendary spectacle on par with the best shows of the past. And yes, I'll take plenty of pics to share with everyone here when I get back :)
