well i don't own an xbox and i am a ps3 fan but i was curious as to what gears would offer, so i bought it on the pc and i can tell u all know that the pc has better graphics than all those pics up their. as for gears 2, i wish a pc version would come out i loved the first gears so much.
in graphic terms it goes like this-pc,xbox,ps3,wii in speed terms it goes like this-pc,ps3,xbox,wii(on paper, the ps3 is faster but in reality, the xbox is faster. the ps3 has more speed but most of that speed is being wasted so when u put a game in, it wont be as fast as that of an xbox but as i said,as a whole, the ps3 is faster(in theory)). in tech terms(latest tech) it goes like this-pc,ps3,wii,xbox in online terms it goes like this-xbox,ps3,pc,wii in plane fun terms it goes like this-wii,(ps3,xbox(differ from their exclusives)),pc(im not saying pc isn't fun, its just with the pc u need to worry about if the game will run or not, so the pc is fun, its just the least funnest of the 4 bec of its demand) in sales/profit terms in goes like this-wii,pc,xbox,ps3(i actually read a few articles and found out that people are more popular with the pc in upgrading it than with buying the xbox as a whole) in popularity terms it goes like this-wii,xbox,ps3,pc(most people already have a pc) in the successfulness of the company terms it goes like this-Nintendo,Microsoft,Sony so what is the best? all, they are all good in their own way. so just buy all of em for thei exclusives, the experience they bring to gaming and lastly, for their fun .
i agree with all you guys, that their is nothing like the pc. with all the money i had spent on the ps3, i could have bought 10 hp blackbirds 002 lol by know but i didn't why? console experience,u know the one were your friends come over its fun. the only reason i bought a ps3 to add to my pc is for the experience and that experience comes from exclusives and from exclusives come just great plane fun. to tell you the truth, i don't care about the graphics. but i am not saying like 'ok i don't care anymore ill just buy a 8400gs graphics card'. no, its good to have a reasonable graphics card but dont go too crazy. one problem with the pc is that u want more. their is like this hunger for the best of the best and before u know it, u will want the best pc out their,even if you know u know u dont need it. if i didn't have a ps3, i would never have had the experience to play the game of the year, mgs4. would i? but one thing i can admit is that with the pc, u need funds and is those funds are out, then u will get really pissed. i also think that when u get older or when i get older, i will leave the console and stay for the pc but while i am still under 20 and while everyone else is still under 20 and who is a gamer , u should not leave out the console experience because u wont get another chance at it when your older trust me. so dont just say that oh ok the pc has the best graphics im going for it no its not liek that at all. and t razor1, u said that 'is it just me or is all the people who are writing stupid comments all sony fanboys. and you said that' sony fanboys are greatly outnumbered'. ha! let me just tell you that everyone writes stupid comments once in a while(even me once) just like the one u wrote know. and for the 8 dumb people who likes that post and gave it a check, you guys are just plane stupid from the beginning. and sony fanboys are not outnumbered more people had a ps2 than a xbox or have u forgotten that the ps2 was in the lead last generation over the xbox. and even with the ps3 and the xbox 360. yes more sales of xbox than ps3 were found in AMERICA DUH. u have forgotten the rest of the world. Europe, middle east, Asia, Australasia? what about them huh. outnumbered my ass, just bec they dont like to post comments doesnt mean we are outnumbered.
well i think just like i thought with the other ps3 vs xbox forum that its all about fun and that u guys would do wrong to judge a console or the pc just because of those pics up their. i use my pc mostly for strategy games such as the total war series or unique first person shooters such as crysis. i use my ps3 for everything else. i used to say that the pc is for technology freaks while the consoles are for fun but in the end, the only reason we all play video games is for fun right. i would take an hour of gears over an hour of football any day but thats just me. then u guys might argue, 'what are u saying, that we should just buy a ps3 or an xbox or a pc only bec like u said, they all are for fun'. yes, they all are for fun but the reason u should buy 2 or more of them is for the experience they bring to different types of video games. in other words, exclusives such as mgs4,crysis and gears 2. exclusives=experience=fun. so everyone stop arguing about which one is better and just buy them for their fun
i know this is gona sound a little lame, but i still dont understand the difference between the geforce and the ati. i mean everyone says that geforce is better for games is that even true? i mean i look at the ati and its got some neat stuff.
i just want a graphics card that will run empire total war can anyone tell me what that graphics card is and no more than \$200 i have now a geforce 8400 gs which came with my computer. the only reason i am using such a crappy card like that is because the new one i bought a few months ago broke. it was the geforce 9600 gts zotoc i think which was around $277. and im not gona buy the same one so i need a new one.
MUST READ-i think its all about the games and although both ps3 and xbox have exclusives(i have a ps3), most of the exclusives on the ps3 are all going on the 360 like final fantasy and tekken. speculation of mgs4 going on the 360 are also appearing and if that happens, ps3 is in big trouble. it will only be left with motor storm, resistance and kill zone which the first 2 are both made by Sony computer entertainment while the 3rd hasn't been that popular. unfortunately, all wont stand a chance against gears and halo. Fortunately, the ps3 (some people have forgotten) has another secret weapon. GOD OF WAR 3, which is said to be better than mgs4 with even more fans than gears and halo separately. when god of war 3 comes out, i assure u that the ps3 will rise again(for a while at least) . what the ps3 needs right know is games, games that will draw in any gamer all across the world and for that to happen, the ps3 needs loyal game developers but unfortunately, they are all pulling out and going to the xbox because they see it as a greater opportunity for their game to sell. i also believe that during this period of time(world financial crisis), the xbox (which has a decrease in profits just like the ps3) will still be able to hold off because of its low price, demand and the fact that Microsoft has made way more money than Sony ( but i still like sony better for its technology and experience (blue-ray,laptops,TV's,phones etc)). Moreover, although i have been a play station fan from the beginning, i am starting to believe that the end of Sony's play station is coming soon only because most of its exclusive games are going to the xbox and that it hasn't been making profits for a while know( not like the xbox has either). otherwise, if those 2 factors were absent, then i would very much like to continue to buy the playstation saga. KNOW, CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF ENDWAR, FAR CRY 2 AND KILLZONE 2 ARE WROTH BUYING?
