Something is wrong when you install Diablo I, yea the first one - you know the game that started it all, and you enjoy it, really, a lot more than Diablo 3.

Yea, there is indeed a problem.

Just like DIablo 2 this game needs content filled patches to bring it up face. At the moment it's lacking the depth of D2's character building system, especially when you Include D2's rune system which was added later on.

The game is too short, it needs a ACT 5 and even ACT 6.

PVP should of been there at launch.

I definitely don't think their new skill system was a good idea, it kills replayability and also it doesn't add customization. Because generally you just pick your skills based around what works best at the time. You find a good 2h Weapon? ok use it and shift your skills around. The game is too easy? ok use more AOE abilities. Too difficult? use more defensive.. The game is practically doing the character building for you based randomly on what items and challenges it throws your way.

ShimmerMan

question remains. How we, as players, can we force Blizzard to change that?

[QUOTE="fredyellowone"]

On metacritics, of the 7 pro reviews, 5 are giving 90/100, and 2 only are giving 80/100.

I'm i the only one who actually now doubt a lot on integrity of the "profesionnal reviewers?"

Blizzard North is long gone. Wow dev's just crushed apart almost 50% of what made DIABLO serie succesful.

And everyone seems to be praising that.

Really what's that?

Pros of Diablo 3

- Lore

- graphics

- Still true to point and click system

- there's a "Diablo" boss!

- Items

Cons

- having to play Online, even in single player mode

- game not yet finished (pvp)

- skills points gone ( str, dex, etc)

- no customisation. skills tree is well...

- only 1 melee caracter. (no pally, or warrior or fighter)

- real money AH

- abismal lenght

- voice acting sometimes strange

- no lore books like in D1

- too linear

If you want to review a Diablo game, dammit! Take hardcore D1 and D2 fans.

RedEyedMonster8

Or maybe he just, you know, doesn't agree with your opinion on the game.

And you, if i may ask, what do you think?

[QUOTE="GONtheSKYLORD"]Im kind of curious to see who is to blame this time. Cant go the usual route with porting or lack of power on consoles. Yes Im talking to you people.GONtheSKYLORD

I'm not sure what you mean.

the fault goes to Blizzard. no-one else.

Its just a jab at those people that blame consoles for the reason their sequels dont turn out the way they'd hoped and I guarantee if this was cross platform, a lot of them would surface. Anytime theres a popular cross platform sequel, some pc elitist says it is dumbed down for consoles.

Ahhhhhhhh! you mean like with Battlefield 3! Gotcha!

I like how most of the cons you listed are wrong. People love to hate stuff, the game plays great and in a week the server issues will be ironed out anyways. Im also not going to say its perfect and i will admit that always online isin't the best solution but some people need to take a few deep breaths.

dudy80

Seems i do not agree with you, because my "cons" are really elements that are bad for me. Ho, and btw, i never said anything about the online issues we had on launch. Because for me, that kind of stuff is not important or valuable when time to review games.

at this point, is there anything we (D1 and D2 hardcore fans) we can do to make sure Blizzard is at least making back the D2 way for aptitudes trees and skills? They could do that on a patch, i'm sure of it. And it would fix a lot of my bad mood.
