Do you have to finish the game to play this?

I do like it when DLC is prequel or side stories. If you maybe were away from the game for a bit, this might reel you back in for several hours. But it seems this one is relevant if you finished the main campaign, which is very long, and which I have not.

Just thinking of the Second Son: First Light DLC. It's stand alone, anyone can get it, and if you finished the game or not, it provides context, as opposed to another/different ending.

Just think that the target demographic for this is going to be much smaller than it could have been.

Thank you! Great review and right on target. I've been playing the game and getting more bored with the repetitive shooting, lack of loot, confusing storyline, bad acting and a host of other issues. Some of the visuals are cool and I think the music is excellent, but this AAA game is such a letdown. I wish I could get a refund.

There is a loading screen where you are sitting in your ship waiting to go somewhere. Nothing is happening. Instead of excited anticipation, I always think "I should probably switch to a fun game I love playing".

When I do is when I start to have fun.

Destiny is such a letdown.

I wonder what is the benefit for players who are not as highly leveled or have not finished the game? The new Crusaders sound good to start a new campaign but is there any other benefits for casual players?

I just finished this game and it is amazing. So much fun with a very likable central character, beautiful visuals, tight and satisfying combat, just-complex-enough puzzles, deep exploration and a rollicking story that keeps you on your toes.

It's funny, I had the PS3 version and only played it for like 4 hours, never finishing it, because there were always new games coming out to try. But I knew I liked it and always meant to go back to it. With the PS4 and not a lot of games early on, I am glad I gave it another shot. I finished the main campaign (about 15-20 hours with story, figuring stuff out, and exploring) and now it's one of my favorite games of all time.

I also highly recommend the excellent game guide by Brady Games, I got the digital version from Apple's iBooks.

The influence from Uncharted is very clear, and there are actually not as many tombs to raid as you think there would be. But the game has such a great variety of scenerios and edge of your seat sequences, it's like being in control of a summer blockbuster movie. I am so ready for the sequel! Highly recommended game!

Great overview..well done. Just a note..there are several MMOG's that are "in" Second Life. One is "Dark Life" (google it) and there are others.
