@Gelugon_baat I'm sorry if I was not clear enough in my earlier post when I said that I understood that he has his own opinion and could sympathize with a few of his issues. I'll try and separate that bit into its own paragraph next time I was just saying that I personally think score for this game should be considerably higher. That is MY opinion. By "insulting", I was referring to the people that have put a lot of time and effort into this game. I'll attempt to make that clearer next time if I ever have to make a post like that again.

I think I am going to have to disagree with this review. I've been playing the game for several hours now and so far have experienced next to none of the complaints. I get that you have your own opinion, and maybe this game in particular just had too many features and flaws that blended together in such a way that might have detracted enjoyment of the game from you (everyone has their own tastes), but I don't think this game should get a 4.5. So far I think even below an 8.5 is an insult. The Quick Time Events that I see so much complaint aren't really so bad considering both Resident Evil 4 and 5 made a habit out using the "shake-the-stick-to-break-free-from-grapple", (although I will admit that some of the shake-stick sequences seem a little bit superhuman). I do not feel overwhelmed by the cutscenes at all, and rarely feel like the gameplay is being bogged down by the game's so far intriguing plot (of course I just played Metal Gear Solid 4 a few months ago, which took long cutscenes to a whole new level). The only campaign I have played so far where lack of ammo has not been an issue has been Leon's, surprisingly, although even then, I mainly have ammo for the gun I really don't need desperately. Each campaign has its own unique pacing that I enjoy immensely. My father, who admits that he usually isn't into fast reaction games, says that even the sudden obstacle that can immediately kill you and the sudden unexpected QTE does little to take away from his experience. His only major complaint is the brightness, which I have to agree with. I also agree that the game is not survival-horror, but more survival-action. However, that doesn't mean this isn't a fantastic game. The AI is competent for the hour or so I played alone, never dying and never draining ammo, and is a lot quicker than any partner game AI I have played.

Overall, I am really enjoying this game so far and encourage other people to at least try it before throwing it away by looking at a number. Sure, maybe I have this opinion because I have not played the full game yet, only 1 chapter of each campaign, or maybe it's because I started with Resident Evil 5 as an entry to the series and then worked my way backwards to 1, but I think that this game is fantastic and worth so much more than the score of this review.
