EDIT: I got it now. Your spelling is terrible and I had a hard time understanding what the hell you said. Chet Faliszek stated that the team found making incremental patches in the same style as Team Fortress 2 difficult to do, and thus set upon making a sequel. He also stated that they would release new campaigns, monsters, weapons, etc. for Left 4 Dead. I don't understand how you didn't hear that in the video or how your brain didn't put 2 and 2 together, but there you go. If you need help with anything else let me know :)

Also, over 8000 members now. You can keep calling it "your little boycott" if you like, but it hardly seems appropriate.

Valve is still actively supporting Counter-Strike well after the release of Counter-Strike: Source. If you think Valve is suddenly going to stop supporting Left 4 Dead just because a sequel's coming out, think again. That's now how Valve operates.LordAndrew

Fun fact: There are several major bugs in Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source that have existed since release and have never been fixed. Why? Because there's no profit involved in fixing a game-altering bug if the only people who care already paid.

This is silly. You are not owed free DLC because they've give some away in the past. Valve is a business and their first priority should be fiscal solvency. That means they need to produce revenue and while DLC can help with that, used game sales detract from that same figure. A new release that forces new purchases is a realistic solution to their problem.

Based on what I've seen of the content updates to 2, it's certainly no worse a sequel than many others I've seen.

As of the time of me posting this, our boycott is putting Valve out of $350,000 dollars.

Quite a lot of people (including myself) plan to boycott Valve's upcoming sequel, Left 4 Dead 2. And for good reason if you ask me: By them releasing Left 4 Dead 2, it's them saying "We're not going to release any new maps for Left 4 Dead (the original) or any new content at all. Buy our new game, Left 4 Dead 2." This tells me that I should probably not buy Left 4 Dead 2 right away (if at all), not only because they're so cocky that they're probably going to release this **** for 40 or more dollars, but also abecause I know that within a year they're going to be moving on to bigger things.

Just by looking at the comments on several L4D2 videos and announcements you can tell how a lot of gamers feel about this. They're saying Left 4 Dead 2 should have come in the form of free DLC for L4D, and can you blame them?

Just CoD4 so far. STEAM says the Mirror's Edge and Dead Space are available "January 2009" does that mean the first? Because if so, I'll probably buy those with the deals you can get on STEAM until the 2nd.

Also considering buying the id Complete Pack.
