This was in RE 7? I finished RE 7 and most of its DLC (End of Zoe, Not a Hero and some of scenarios in Banned Footage Vols. 1 and 2) a few days ago and never came across this. Nice.
This whole thing is just ridiculous. They are bending over backwards to appease nutters. Coca-Cola had a be "less white" training campaign or something for their employees. Imagine the outrage if people said, be "less black" or "less Indian". Apparently, it's become acceptable to be racist ONLY to whites because it's "justice" and "equality"? GTFOH, racism is racism.
This entire thing is asinine. We've already had actors (whose job is to ACT) not be able to act as trans characters because they are not trans. I mean, why stop there? Why don't they start stopping actors from acting as doctors because they don't have medical degrees? Will they remove the Oscar for Best Director from Richard Attenborough because he was not an Indian and directed a movie called "Gandhi" in India?
"Funnily enough," Iwiński adds, "especially in Poland, I was many times asked, 'Oh, so you were a pirate - your roots are from the computer games market?' I say, 'Hey, for starters it wasn't illegal and second, look at a lot of the presidents or the founders or the key shareholders of IT companies in Poland now: who are these guys?' These are the guys learning the ropes at the computer markets as well."
CDPR is definitely aware of the screw-ups - their stock dipped by a whopping 29%. Fixing this game for all the consoles is definitely gonna be their biggest goal. They made a lot of money with pre-orders, sure, but the continued success of the game depends on word of mouth and user reception. And if the word is that it is a buggy and unplayable mess, then this is gonna be a big problem.
The dude is dead FFS. Why the hell should his family apologize for him being an ass when he was alive?
Imagine me asking every British person alive now to apologize for their ancestors enslaving mine for over 200 years. THAT'S how stupid this entire cancel culture thing has become.
As long as the game is not padded out with boring sidequests, I'm okay. I really liked the main quest of God of War but hated Muspelheim and the grindy af Niflheim.
