@computernoises: Yeah, Axel Gembe comes to mind (the guy who hacked Valve during the development of Half Life 2). The guy has turned his life around well.
What a waste of talent. Satoshi Tajiri has Asperger's too and he ended up making a multi-billion dollar franchise. Had this kid channelled his skills and talent for good purposes instead of malicious ones, he'd have been a millionaire in no time. Creating programs that are able to take down networks of huge corporations at the age of 16 is nothing to scoff at. He could have been a White Hat or joined intelligence agencies with his level of skill.
Now this guy is going to jail and will probably get raped during his 2 year stint there.
I haven't played the games after Modern Warfare 3. Anyone mind telling me what's wrong with the futuristic entries of this series? WW 2 has been done to death.
@lonesamurai1: We don't know what they're collecting
^ That is exactly what makes me so wary. What are they collecting that they don't want to tell us?
I get what you're saying but there are always some things they can use against us. Not now, maybe in the future.
Ultimately, even if Windows 10 had no security and privacy issues, it's useless to a person like me living in a country that has frequent power cuts, slow internet and data caps.
@lonesamurai1: "Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say." - Edward Snowden
@rolento25: Maybe if you live in a country with unlimited data plans and high speed internet. Where I live, power cuts are frequent, and high speed internet is quite expensive. Windows 10 doesn't allow us to pick what updates we want to download, and it doesn't even mention what those updates do. It just downloads them automatically. Worse is when it starts installing them when you shut down the system. My laptop nearly bricked itself in one such install during a power cut. I didn't bring my charger along and I had no idea how long the install would take because there is no progress bar. I was moments away from having a bricked laptop.
The first time I connected my laptop to the internet, the net was so slow, and barely moving. I only found out later that the reason it was slow was because the OS was downloading updates. It's filled to the brim with a bunch of useless bloatware in the form of "apps". Windows 10 is the second worst OS I've ever used.
