Also, sorry if this turns out to be a double post, but wouldn't it make sense to hide under something. Most people in the San Francisco quake of 1922(?) died from things like rubble falling on them in hallways, and exits and stuff. A sturdy desk would protect you from such objects.

Or there would be a broken desk on top of you as well.

Do you all live in a concrete fortress, because I live in a crappy little apartment.

I changed my mind when I thought about Gundam, I don't need a person, I just need a giant mecha.

I have no thoughts about that, but I'll give a slightly similar anecdote.

So, last Wednesday, I walked outside and it was really cloudy. But like...the cloud formations look REALLY cool, like I never saw them before. So I sort of just stood outside looking at the clouds, when I noticed that they'd stopped blowing in a single direction. The wind had changed to where the cloud were all blowing around haphazardly, and then that eventually sort of organized into general rotational movement. At about that time, I saw a couple of spinning funnel clouds start to drop. And this was happening like, VERY close. And I thought that was cool as hell. Because I'd never seen a tornado before, and getting a clear shot of a tornado that close to me would've made for a BADASS picture.

But then the funnel clouds just sort of died down before hitting the ground, and the whole cloud formation sort of blew by a minute or two later. Almost happened, but not quite. I guess the wind shifted at the last minute, and killed it.

But my point. I then went back inside and started watching TV. I then noticed a very strange siren sound from nearby. So I walked outside and looked around and was thinking, "what the **** is making all that noise?" I started thinking about what it COULD be and thought, "I dunno...a tornado alarm, MAYBE." But it wasn't exactly relevant to me, so I went back inside and continued watching TV, only this time turning the volume up in order to drown out that annoying-ass siren.

My suspicions were later sort of confirmed when I heard about multiple tornados appearing nearby. But that just made me wonder...what is the point of even USING a tornado alarm if no one knows what the sound means? Tornados only very rarely happen here (with the exception of tornados that occur specifically during hurricanes), I don't know a single person who has ever heard a tornado alarm or even knows what one sounds like. So...what the hell is the point of using the siren in the first place?

MrGeezer

I don't know, its perfectly probable that this is just because I'm from Oklahoma, but I would assume a really loud, annoying alarm wouldn't be something I'd drown out with a tv and sit in place for. If I heard an alarm going off in Hawaii I wouldn't just sit on the beach like a bro, I'd be getting inland, unless of course it looks like lava and ash and hellfire and demons then I'll probably stay away from all that. Or if I was in Maine and heard alarms going off, I'd probably be wondering, what the hell kind of natural disasters does Maine have? I'd probably die if alarms went off in Maine, but in most situations I figure it would be obvious how not to die. Or at least increase my chances of death by flying stuff.

I dunno dude, looks probable. I think it started in 1994 with the virtual boy, and its all gone downhill from there.

In all seriousness though, yeah, I'm pretty sure we are going straight down the crapper. I heard the other day from my uncle who works for microsoft that a black hole opened up at the edge of our galaxy, its only a matter of years before it grows large enough to swallow poor pluto, and the size of the black hole will begin increasing substantially. After Pluto we have like 57 days. **** sucks.

Ughh! That's it?! I want to touch the moon!:x

Blazerdt47

I really don't want to touch the moon if it also means I'll be crushed by the giant space rock. It would be like a bloody game of Katamari, morbidly awesome now that I think about it.

Could The Batman beat The Flash? I don't see how you can plan to defeat something that moves that fast. He could literally strike you from anywhere with no reaction time.clayron
Good question, but he has devised a way to defeat all of the Justice League, and the flash is a part of the Justice League. I wish I knew how though, It's never happened (They've never fought from what I know) but now that we've mentioned it I'm sure someone is writing it.

I don't need a survival expert, I know all about drinking my own pee and eating raw fish. I'd probably like to have someone I can do the last fun thing on earth with, so I guess my girlfriend.
