It's nice to see an old arcade racing franchise return from the dead but was anybody really asking for a remaster of this game? The original already ran at 60fps and still looks great. I hope they are just testing the waters of interest and profitability for a possible actual sequel, even if I have never been Burnout's biggest fan.

Let's bring back Motorstorm and Project Gotham Racing while we're at it!

@thegerg: I thought I was arguing against a literalist/constitionalist lol (i.e. what the Founding Fathers wrote down is gospel, must be obeyed). Guess not haha

Where did the founding fathers write down that you have a right to happiness?

I'll move this conversation forward a few posts and point out that what @thegerg is probably saying is that the Declaration of Independence considers "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" the unalienable rights, not necessarily the guarantee of happiness. No government can guarantee happiness.

I picked up 2 used X360s separately last year for ~$130 total including 4 controllers and a bunch of games. I completed the controller set and bought multiple copies of the games and now have an awesome 8-player LAN setup for less than the cost of a new console. So for that, yes it's worth it.

A lot of the big games are cheap, too. Every couple months GameStop runs sales which tons of used X360 games are eligible for.

Generally a standard definition game will look best on a standard definition screen, yes. I wish I had one on hand for playing Gen 6 games myself. I will probably eventually pick one up.

Just be aware that tube TVs will look kind of blurry and fuzzy by nature after staring at high definition LCD screens for several years. Your eyes might need to adjust. This effect will be more severe on older tubes. The best are the flat tubes produced through the 2000s. Standard-def games look awesome on those.

@ProtossRushX apparently some smaller retailers are indeed worried about this stuff, so I assume the big box stores are too. See the below article:
