Marvel's Avengers at least had a good singular story. With a beginning and decent ending. So when it's on sale for $5 or $10 then you can say you are at least getting a decent story for that price, even if you never touch online. The superheroes also played unique to each other and not just all the same copy and paste.
They both suffer from just doing the same missions over and over again.
I hope they let Rocksteady return to a fully single player experience after this.
@warmeatgames: What? You only need an internet connection on a steam deck to obviously download a game or if the game itself requires a online connection for multiplayer. There are those rare games that require you to be online at all times to play. That would be a developer requirement not the steam deck. Just like Gran Turismo 7 requires an online connection on PS5 and Redfall on series X.
@just1mohr: It's the EA play vault which is part of gamepass. No EA game that has gone into the vault has ever been removed. So somewhat different then your normal game pass addition. It's been on there already for like a year and unless something changes it's not expected to be removed.
In addition you can play it on xbox or PC. Or even stream it over the cloud on different devices with game pass ultimate.
@Destructionzz: Yes you are wrong. For the monthly "free" games that you get from PS plus you have to remain active as a PS Plus subscriber to play them. So if you claim Mass Effect in December and your subscription runs out in January then you lose access to the game and any other PS Plus "free" games you have claimed. When you resubscribe then are your previous claimed games are able to be played again. It's always been that way. Xbox 360's free games with XBL were yours even if your sub ran out. Xbox stopped doing that with xbox one games.
I mean both movies are bad if you aren't a kid or didn't grow up with nostalgy for them. However yes the original space jam had a great soundtrack. Both MJ/Lebron are terrible actors. Charles is funny in real life but he is also a terrible actor. Bill Murray obviously is a stand out compared to the terrible acting around him. He alone doesn't make it a good movie though.
I just think it's silly to really care that the 2nd movie is not as good as the 1st. Yes the 2nd movie is worse, but it's not as if the 1st was some great movie that is now tarnished.
@bloodbornelore: Sure it's always smart to wait. I bought my PS5 at launch and really didn't use it much after Miles Morales. And I could have played Miles Morales on PS4. I didn't need to buy the series X. Playing the game pass games on old xbox hardware after knowing how good a SSD is on a PS5 made me want a Xbox Series X though. So I eventually got one 2 months ago after trying hard to order one. And I use it all the time because of game pass. So you can say it has no exclusives yet, but it plays games better than my old xbox so it serves a use. And since I have game pass I have a large collection of games to play. The funny thing is that I play a Sony game on my xbox series X almost every day. MLB the show 21. I wouldn't have tried it at $70. I decided to give it a try on game pass and now I play diamond dynasty mode a lot.
Yes it doesn't have 1st party exclusives yet, but clearly everyone can see there will be a crap load coming. The PS5/Xbox series X sell out in seconds after they are up for sale so both are in high demand. PS4 was my most used console last gen by far. Maybe Sony has the best exclusives besides Nintendo again, but I think Series X is going to be my most used console this gen now that I use game pass regularly.
@bloodbornelore: Xbox has a lot of new games coming by multiple different studios. Maybe there is a preference for Sony, but it's not as if Xbox doesn't play new games along with the old games. Plus their new 1st party games will be available on game pass and not at $70 each. Their is clearly incentive for all 3 major consoles.
@mr_fantastic54: People spreading false information like you are is the reason this blew up bigger than it should have. No you can't use real money in any slot machine, pachinko machine or wheel spin in NBA 2k20. You can't use in game currency on them either. These mini games are used to determine your prize for different situations. You can't enter any currency into them real or virtual. The wheel is used if you login for 7 straight days you get a free spin. It's also used as a free locker code reward system. The slot machine you get if you win an offline triple threat game. The pachinko ball drop you get for winning a online triple threat game like you could last year in 2k19.
All this was explained in the NBA 2k20 MyTeam blog that was released at the same time the trailer was released. None of the game press or commentators bothered to check if there was actually any in in game currency or real money used in these things they were losing their minds about. They just ran with it without checking.
That is not to say NBA 2k doesn't deserve criticism for their pay to win tactics, but please criticize them for something they actually deserve to be criticized for.
