there is something to be said about going over to friends house and downloading a game from the cloud. Ive used steam for 10 years or so never had a problem logging in nor being able to play my games when I want. It seems Microsoft wants to literally drag their consumers kicking and screaming into the console future up to the pc present. the 2 experiences have been converging for years now there seems to be almost no discernible difference. Who ever does press and adverts for MS needs to be sacked.This is the Surface\win 8 all over again when will they learn that in the age of apple no one wants to figure anything out for themselves if it takes any thought to use its bad. Keep it simple MS shift the paradigm slowly look at IOS its been the same for 8 years and people love it cause its simple android cause its different try and split the difference people don't know what to think. this hybrid tv box\console\pc is too confusing to the general population.. Ownership has already shifted having no physical copy of software music movies is the new norm. Time will tell if this approach works on a console
@Smeagol3404 normally these kids mommy wont let them play on the pc till she gets home and takes the parental lock off so they can check facebook cuase that's all a pc does right
I really don't understand all the vitriol when it comes to this console. Most cell phones and lab tops have built in vid-cams I don't see people having this level of hate. The check once a day thing sounds a little annoying but if you people can sit here complaining about something that's not out yet 25 hours a day im sure you don't have connections issues. I honestly don't care about either as I prefer to use my pc to game. but I do need you all that do play console to keep subsidizing good pc games by paying for these systems. What is good for the industry as a whole is what concerns me. Wait till the damn thing is out if its not good it will go away and something else will take its place but right now this forum looks like a fox news forum with people wanting to see the birth certificate
I'm not 100% on this but i'm pretty sure this isn't a conspiracy against Sony. I think the problem lies in the amount of RAM the ps3 has and the size of the save files after you have been playing for a long time. I remember they had to patch the ps3 version for that problem and i'm sure when you add 10 hours or so of content the save files get bigger. They probably just need a work around if one exsist, if not buy a cheap graphics card and play it on your PC.
Looking at the separate pictures its really hard to tell the difference, but i will say this blu ray has nothing to with how good the game will look. Its like saying ps2 games that came on dvd looked better then the ones that came out on cd. compression doesnt't have much to do with the end result when it comes to graphics, and sorry to burst anyone's bubble niether do the cpu's or at least not to the extent that you would think. The Cell cpu is a failure in terms of what sony thought it would be able to do. When the ps3 was coming together and ibm,toshiba and sony started work on the cpu they reckon that a cpu with that many spe's would be able to handle graphics as well as general processing . They were wrong and had to turn to Nvidia for their graphical needs.Kinda like when sega had to throw a co-processor into the saturn to handle 3-d task becuase they thought the future was 2-d. This made the saturn hard to program for same goes with the Ps3. The nvidia processor they used wasn't even the best out at the time, beucause ATI(AMD) had the better products. ATI's visual output on their graphic cards were better at the time. Therefor i believe that no matter how much time will pass the PS3 will never be able to to surpass although it may match, but never surpass the graphics of the 360 which were provided by ATI. It has nothing to do with the cpu and everything to do with the gpu just like in modern computers its better to have a better gpu then a great cpu with a bad gpu.
