I got the Big Boss emblem in MGS4 because I thought it would be a good test for me as a gamer, and truthfully it felt extremely gratifying when I did finally get it. I really didn't need an achievement, because to me it's just something that's ingrained as a gamer to do.
I was crazy enough to actually go after all of the hunt monsters in FFXII, even the elite ones, Omega Mark and Yiazmat, and so forth. Someone decided, well it would be cool if you would reward gamers with something for going out of their way, and in truth I think achievements are a great bonus if anything.
just wait till ps3 devs realize trophies can be more than just find x number of collectables or kill x number of people in such a way

Bring it on I say. I'm sure whatever they throw out there wont be as difficult the Team Fortress 2 achievements on Steam, those are near damn impossible.
Still, I would disagree with that, the Warhawk and Wipeout HD achievements are down right crazy, with the latter just being a nightmare.
I myself have actually gone back and started playing for trophies (three away from Platinum on Uncharted) and I will admit that they add an extra something to the game.
Most Japanese to English games have terrible voice acting, that's mainly because the dialouge is crappy, and for the most part when an english speaking person attempts to say a Japanese word, it comes out terribly.
I thought the original Stalker had voice acting and lyp synching that made my eyes and ears bleed. On another note, hell I thought Bad Company had great dialouge, it was amusing and it never got annoying.
Didn't Gabe say that they had ZERO interest in the PS3? I find it quite shocking that he actually says "if we could, then we would, but we can't at this time", instead of flat out denying it.
I'm confused now, so basically he says they are willing/wanting to if they could, but do to a lack of resources they can't? This is a stark opposite to the Gabe Newell which wouldn't even think about working on a product for the PS3.
