This is a great game and I am on my second play through. Really, really fun with a group of friends.

Well I am wondering what the next great co-op games are. I enjoy playing Halo and Gears through with friends. What is the next great co-op game?
I don't get your pointHow wonderful. Here's another case of, "Everyone reads a bad review and justifies said review with a person's opinion."

So far I agree with this 100%playing this game.....and all i can say, compared to the original, this one is a MAJOR disappointment.....the AI is buggy...the soldiers get stuck behind obstacles, keep walking in the same place and arent half as smart as the AI in the original......the choppers are super easy to take down and unlike the super menace the choppers were in the original.....its quite easy even on the hard setting and maximum speed is no longer an ability u can activate.....the suit now only has 2 powers......cloak and maximum armor.....speed is there but u just have to press the LS to activate it.....i guess Crytek was so busy making this game look pretty and sound super cool that they totally forgot about gameplay.....
i will be suprised if this game gets a score higher than 8.0 or 8.5 MAX

[QUOTE="k2theswiss"]i love how everyone is hating on the 5 hrs... lol SADLY isn't every shooter now days 5hrs lol. wish devs would fix this but w/e as long as MP is good and tide me over month-few months i'm happyBLAS1AN
and the OP didnt even mention playing the multiplayer yet. why give half hearted review and tell people not to buy a game...
Sorry you are correct. I did play the MP and it is way better than the SP that's for sure. I can't help but think this game feels rushed which is surprising given it was delayed. Anyway, the MP has a lot of fresh ideas but again they feel poorly executed. There appears to be server issues form my time playing (and seems to be validated by this board). I like the system they have created for generating perks and the maps are nice and big. That said the games seem short to me and there could be more variety (guns, maps, etc). Overall I would give this game about a 7 as the MP is definitely why you would buy this game but the SP feels tacked on and incomplete (which is funny for a 'story driven shooter'. I personally would save my money for Crysis (as I liked the MP and the reviews coming in are saying the SP is 10-12 hrs of greatness). There are worse games I have purchased than Homefront but I will be trading it in Tuesday for Crysis.I couldn't agree moreIf you beat a Call of Duty game in 3.5 hours, you're either doing a speed run or playing on easy difficulty.
Homefront campaign feels rushed as well as short. The developers were given a great story to work with but they didn't do their part. They also had a great game engine yet character models look like last gen and texture loading is the worst I've ever seen in an Unreal Engine game. The reviews were more than generous.

Well if anyone thought I was lying about my thoughts you can now find IGN's 7.0 review online.

I agree multiplayer may save this game (I highly doubt given the quality of the SP and the shear opportunity that has been lost in making a game based o this story - Red Dawn). The story really wasn't a story as there were no character development and I didn't care about the guy you play. Such a wasted opportunity for a GREAT 5 hours. Sadly I am now left hoping the quality has been put into the MP, but given the effort displayed on SP I wouldn't hold my breath. So in summary I am not overly sad about the duration (although this felt a VERY quick 5 hrs). The opportunity lost on this game that has been touted as a 'story driven' FPS is lacking the 'story'. That said it is a FPS so they get half marks ;o)
