@Saketume Aside from Quantic Dreams' "old man face", I didn't see anything impressive in these PS4 videos so far. They obviously look better than current gen, but we always expect a leap, and not baby steps. Remember back in '06 how SE blew our minds with the FF7 tech demo? THAT is the feeling I want.
@Chase_Payne Sorry if I sound insensitive but that's you and another 2.5% of the world. And that's it. I don't think they're missing much of an audience.
@jangofett75 I agree. Actually, I was thinking what good is this kind of technology when we have to shelter ourselves from a gazillion of shooter games? More RPGs (or crazy ass ideas like Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain) and less Gears of War please.
PS: Nothing against GoW, I really like the series, but it is a fitting example.
When I saw that it was a Quantic Dream tech demo, I was expecting another voyage to the depts of the Uncanny Valley all over again. Fortunatelly, I was wrong. Although I saw no "soul" as the old man's eyes looked a little off, I could actually feel his sadness. That was impressive. Kudos and thank you, QD!
@JDtheKID Actually, MMOs suck. I don't see the point in clicking an enemy one thousand times. If someone can pull off an MMO FPS, that's Bungie for sure.
I reckon that people who complain about the Kinect have never gathered half a dozen friends and a dozen six-packs around it on a Friday night. Of course it's not for everyday gaming, but it has its uses BESIDES holding paper down.
