@Atzenkiller: They are a china based company, basically just taking the tech they already make for Samsung etc and putting their own name on it. They are good, but with companies like this they start out good and cheap, then over time just match the price and sell cheap crap. (look at Vizio) Kind of build a name so other people refer them, then they can get away with it. As of NOW though, they are as good as entry grade Samsung's, but half the price.
Amazon sells them. I work there, the warehouse is full of them, and we move A LOT of them all the time.
@CallMeDuraSouka: And in a month it'll be 40, then during a promotion itll be 25-30. 17 dollars gives them room to put it on sale, especially considering they most likely will need to hold units of it that take up room in their store. You are getting convenience in return. Take it in, get 20 dollars, walk out. Gamestop will deal with customers that will randomly say "10 dollars" and then have no personal skills, or argue with you about them low balling you (or those people that have a pre-written sob story about how their kid has "the stupid," and really wants the game, and how you will help them out if you just donate it!) Or you can send it on Ebay, have a buyer get it then report it as lost, and fight Ebay for a month trying to show it arrived.
I just don't get why people despise GameStop purely because of this. Don't like it, then go sell it yourself, you have so many outlets to do so. Yet people still go to gamestop because they don't do just the trade in, they do promotion trade ins and get new games basically for free. Is walmart offering that? And Amazon's trade in program won't even accept older games at all.
@CallMeDuraSouka: Why does every site need stupid auto play videos. It's annoying needing to keep the settings in my browser to auto disable any videos all the time because these sites are so annoying.
