By mandatory, I mean you aren't able to play unless it's totaly in 3D. I know it's unknown now, But I just wanna know what you guys think, Because I just spent $400 on a 32 inch HDTV and I don't want to have to spend $3000 on some gimmick
Thank you
So after playing MW2 for about 15-30 minutes, I feel the bottom of my PS3 (It's laying down, So it's not the HDD side down) and in the big square area of the bottom, It's not really hot, But in one of the little creveces there (Like, sorta between the intake vent and where the bottom with the rubber feet protrude) It's slightly hotter than my Xbox's side when it's on for 15-20 minutes. is this normal? Is it going to break sometime soon possibly? It has never frozen (Save for on PS Home, But that's a glitchy piece of crap in the first place) and it always runs just fine. It's a late 2008 80 GB model, So it should have the newer chips in it
Thanks

Most fun you will ever have :D
OP here, While i'm at it, I might as well ask.
Do these things REALLY die that often? I have the new 65 NanoMeter 80 GB 2008 model, And on the official PS forums, I hear a lot about YLoD. Do they really all die often? Like, Xbox 360 often?
Usually when I unplug the cable I need to reset the settings so I don't think this is a problem.Duckman5Hmm, But the thing is, I left it unplugged for just a hour, And it made me do it, Whereas I had it unplugged for 3 days and it retained it.
Hello. I was playing my PS3, And my dad wanted to play Xbox, So I unhooked my HDMI/Ethernet and hooked them into the Xbox. He played for an hour, Then I moved the Xbox away and hooked the HDMI up again. When I boot it, It is just a blank screen till I reboot, Then it says HDMI device found and I set my resolution up and everything. One time I had my PS3 unplugged from HDMI for 3 days and it was still good. Is mine dying? Is this normal?
It has done this several times,It's not running bad, I never had a freeze or anything
Also, I know about holidng the button to reset it.
Thing is, I tapped in once, Walked away then it beeped, Indicating you held the button.
Could it be just a speck of dust/hair/dead skin making the PS3 think it held down?
Cool, So I can just put some of my money into my parents bank account, Then they can use their debit card to pay for the repair? They wont discontinue using the debit cards any time soon?[QUOTE="doomman328"][QUOTE="Sepewrath"] I have no idea where you got that number from, I would think that Sony wouldn't release such information and no one could keep track of the number without checking everyones PS3. Not even a survey would provide an accurate number, so I think you just made that up :P but while I don't know any specific number the failure rate is higher then it should be. I sent my PS3 in I have the repair form reciept it says that they accept all major debit/check cards and credit cards you know like Visa etc but that doesnt matter to you I guess. If you don't have a checking account you could always use someone elses credit card and just give them the 170 bucks. Amith12
Who really cares, u only need to worry when it happens.
People r just scared of evrything, my motto, I dont care about anything until that thing happens.
If ur so scared of it breaking, y buy a ps3, just go sit in a bubble all day, and be scared of it popping. Im sick of ppl asking, what if it dies? what do I do? whats the chance of failure? *meh* Let sony care bout it, until it breaks (thats if it breaks, which I dont care, let sony fix it, they r smart). Worry this worry that, live ur life in the moment, dont care bout the future until it happens.
I want to know so I wont have to worry. So, Can someone PLEASE tell me if they accept Debit/Check
Not "I think so" I mean I want a 100% known anwser
