@DaisyFan007 I appreciate your understanding, and I believe that if you were a fan of the PS2 releases, you'll enjoy the HD res. and widescreen aspect ratio, but balk at the frame rate of 2nd Runner. Since both games are relatively short, and the combat is so fun, Konami could have had a greater product had they capitalized on this by beefing up the versus modes. Imagine that rather than playing against a competitor, sharing the same screen, you could have the entire field of view to yourself. That would have propelled the value (and score) of this collection beyond being simply average.

@cameio I bought it too (Limited Edition), but not because it was a well executed port. I already own the PS2 versions, and would love to see a third Zone of the Enders title, which is the sole reason I threw my money at the series' latest product...that, and the artbook.

@INSAGO When the games are as short as they are, the included versus mode would have benefited the entire package if it contained online multiplayer. I too lament the trend to cram online features into games that don't call for it, but Zone of the Enders' versus modes beg for it.

@BlackBaldwin @System4Ever You are incorrect in your assessment. I am a huge fan of Japanese developed games, I used to work in the fansub community, and I've been at GameSpot for a year. While the HD collection earned a score that seems low, I still appreciate the games. I even purchased the Limited Edition for myself.

@luigio3 The same freezing issue was present in the playable demo (same as the one included with ZOE) at the Tokyo Game Show. We've tested it on multiple PS3s, and the same issue has been reported elsewhere on the internet. Not unique to GameSpot, or an individual PS3.

@Someguy1212 @NinpoRix After numerous runthroughs repeating the glitch, I can say it has no bearing on the civilian. Some have posited that it is due to locking onto to Geckos that contain no slicable parts, though I have found that to be an inconsistent hypothesis. Early testing on Xbox 360 has resulted in zero glitches, though we are still testing that version.

@Dominus_1 We covered the same demo during our Tokyo Game Show coverage. Regardless, after attempting to capture the entire demo on video in order to offer a better look at its contents, we were only able to complete it twice after roughly a dozen attempts due to the aforementioned glitches.

@EvilShabazz Customers that purchased the original Zone of the Enders on the PlayStation 2, who in some part, felt more inclined to invest in an unknown title/IP due to the inclusion of the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo.

@Lucca202 The frame-rate is better (in ZOE) on the 360, believe it or not. Full review coming soon.
