If you live with her, you're screwed. If you don't, just make sure you balance your time appropriately; tell her that you've had a bad day and you just want to go home and play some video games--while it actually was true for me, it works.
Edit would be lovely... Half Life (1), Alien vs. Predator 2, Civilization III (maybe, II for sure); look at some of the higher rated games from 2000-2003 and see what their ratings are and what their minimum settings are, because you can probably find a good 15-20 games that you haven't ever touched which will be both new and fun for you.
Excellent deal; I sold a friend of mine a p4 3.0 / 1GB RAM / x800pro / 200GB HDD space with no mouse/keyboard/other stuff for $750 about 6 months ago, so you are pretty much right on with the price and product after depreciation... and I'm not a dick: I know that was a bad deal, but when you take into consideration that the dude was about to spend over a thousand for DDR2 and a single core Athlon 64 with a 7600, I did him a favour.
